Hi there, The title of this thread could be misleading, i know. This thread is about my opinions of a LittleBigPlanet 2, and want to discuss what it could bring if there was one. Personally, I dont want a LBP2. The game is a stunner from what I have heard, and thats only the Beta! Also, I dont know what else it could bring to the table that isnt already there! As MM has said, there will be alot of game updates and downloadable user content. They also stated that they dont want their game to be a game where you have it all when it's released. They want it to be a game that keeps growing. I would like your opinions on this, and if you would want a LBP2 to come out.

I don't think a sequel would be a good idea to be honest. I mean, this is the kind of game where they can just keep adding more and more features, objects, stickers, levels, whatever... so a sequel would be kind of pointless unless it introduced some AMAZINGLY EVEN-MORE-AWESOME things. (Is that even possible? ) I mean, MM could even make on a new set of story levels to download in the future, who knows! That'd be good enough for me. And the create mode alone has almost infinite possibilities.

What would be the point in a second one? There wouldn't be anything to improve on except for maybe adding more textures, default objects, costumes and stickers but they could easily be done with expansion packs!

What your offering assumes a perfect release; I assure you this won't be the case. People will find flaw with something major and it's most likely that Media Molecule will need to reevaluate and, possibly, release a full-fledged follow-up title. That's not to say that they shouldn't release massive amounts of DLC; I'm all for that as long. However, there are just some things that can't be patched into the game. It remains to be seen what issues will turn up, but it's highly unlikely this masterpiece is completely flawless.

xD I'm not saying littlebigplanet will be perfect, but I don't really see where they could go next after littlebigplanet - what more is there that they can add? just my opinion.

I'd agree with this for the most part. While it's certainly possible for them to release future patches that would make major adjustments to the game - like with Warhawk -, it's definitely possible something could come along that - while it's heavily sought after by the community - is completely outside the bounds of the current title's architecture. Such instances - if deemed worthy - may warrant a completely new title.

They wouldn't need a little big planet 2, all they can do now is just improve it which could easily be done through dlc. The real question is how much would dlc cost?

i dunno about a sequel but they should release an edition with all the major dlc for people who don't have a credit card and have no playstation network cards like me. kinda like the oblivion goty edition

I don't think LBP will have a sequel until the PS4.

Yeah I think we may see LBP 2 on the PS4, or in a three years. But really how this game is made, it is easy to add new stuff with DLC. So the game can last for a while. No need for a 2nd one. They have already said they are going to give DLC of new things that they want to do with LBP and stuff that people may not even think of.

What I keep thinking is how are MM going to follow up LBP, they wont make an LBP2 so what could they make thats even better than LittleBigPlanet? I dont think its possible

How can you even think about a second??? The first game hasn't been released!! But anyway, I think the second wouldn't live up to the greatness of No1 so it would be a bad idea, and, as everyone else is saying, you can just keep adding content to number 1!
