Don't get too excited, I'm not saying that there's going to be a demo out on PSN I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not they were going to put one out in the next few weeks? If they already have the beta out, why not put out a short demo to try and sell more pre-orders? They have to have seen how high the demand was for those beta codes, I think that a demo would be sweet. Elton

I doubt it now. I think it was a demo or a beta. Not both, definatley not before release.

I really REALLY doubt that there will be a Demo. Currently, they have a Beta running (Im sure you know x3) and they have stated that they will probably not release a Demo, because it wouldnt do the game the justice it deserves (They said the same thing with the Beta... Kind of). They also said for the Beta not at all to be treated like a Demo, because it is an old build of the game, and they are sorting out the server problems (Such as Lag). It is also really close to the release o_O.

From all reliable sources available, there will be no demo. Perhaps after release but that would be a wild guess.

It is also really close to the release o_O. All great points to be made. The only thing I would add is that - as directed at PS3 owners - it's really hard for me to believe there are people in the target audience that haven't seen this game in some form by now. Releasing a demo for LBP would be comparable to releasing a demo for MGS4 or Halo 3; there's really no need as the hype machine will make those first week sales and the "word of mouth" effect will take it from there.

Think about it, if they release a LIMITED version of the game now, many people might make out the wrong impression, and therefore not end up getting the game...It wouldn't be a smart choice >_> Plus, a little less than a month now...I think we can wait! =D

all the internet videos is basically the demo. We get to see other people just like us playing it so we get a feel for it. kind of.

Bottom line, anyone who is the least bit excited about this game just needs to pick it up. At this point, if your interest hasn't piqued then I seriously doubt a demo will change your mind.

Though then why do a demo for The Force Unleashed? =P That demo made me really not want the game, whereas I wanted it before I played it. Elton

Yeah I don't think a demo is needed, but companies release them to get people to try them and build interest. But usually when games have a beta it is not needed, since it does that also.
