I think this would be a good idea because you could use different voices for different themes such as a distressed voice in a horror level, a fuzzy radio controller for a space mission for example "Houston we have a problem!" we could do this by using a mic or an eyetoy. what do you guys think

No! It'd be impossible to understand people because of sound quality and lag. Swears and things like that would also go through the roof. We already can change voices in a way, that's why we have sound choices like baby or crocodile.

I think that would be a great idea, but it would be harder to censor any swears said. Changing sound is not that exciting then real voices.

Bad quality, swears, increasing level 'size', compression, lag, not understandable, eating away at the thermo. Nice idea though.

Copyright issues anyone? I'm sure pretty many people would use this to record songs and stuff. Also, lag and loading times and everything else that has been mentioned. I think that there should be more magic mouth voices, it's pretty hard to find a good "normal" voice since they all are laughing or sound like a zombie... or are animals...

While the censorship is indeed a problem, the biggest one to overcome would be the compression/memory/space issue. Let's face it, a level full thermo is around 1500 kb. One recorded voice bubble could weight this much. It's currently unthinkable right now unless they significantly multiply thermo space and that you guys are ready for significantly longer load times. .
