There is no way Modnation can become Game of the Year with the likes of Halo: Reach, Final Fantasy and GT5 coming out in the same year.

I think it's way too early to say yet, sometimes big titles for the year are released (EDIT: I mean announced sorry) at the beginning. Anyway I'm looking forward to Peace Walker and Alien vs Predator most.

I'm sure it will be great but they won't put it as GOTY i think. The series has never produced a GOTY worthy title. FF13... maybe but I doubt it. Don't think GoW3 will be either. So i dunno

i really don't like final fantasy games, i find them boring. Well, just because you don't like it doesn't mean others don't. There are millions of people waiting for the new one to come out. Now, I'm not saying it will be GOTY, but if it isn't, it will be a nominee. Also, I agree with Ryan. It's FAR too early to say anything. Seriously, VGA 2009 was yesterday >_>

Anything that has many rabid followers. I'm pretty certain a rather niche title like MNR does not stand a chance.

And what if final fantasy does get GOTY hmmmm?! Too early to say anything, but it's been awhile since the last FF game and a lot of fans will probably still like it even though the main character is a girl and new gamers will try it out too, so you can't say if it'll be a GOTY or not, but it will definately have a somewhat chance.

TC, just because you don't like a certain game doesn't mean tons of other gamers agree with you. (Case-in-point: Me and FPSs) I, personally, hope FFXIII wins GOTY (Though no one really cares about the VGAs) because it's one of the few actually good, quality games that are coming out soon that aren't generic FPS #5121415324.7.
