Sackies 3 - Ever Watching Eye!
Archive: 26 posts
Sackies 3 is up, guys. Congrats to StevenI. Like we didn't know he was gonna win this! I've never seen someone more dedicated to informing everyone of everything ever. ^_^ http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-us/news/article/the_sackies_-_the_ever-watching-eye_award Edit: For those of you that don't know, StevenI is SO helpful to the community over at littlebigworkshop.com, that his crown was the first community appointed crown. They made a thread and everyone flooded it with "CROWN STEVENI!!!" | 2009-12-13 13:15:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Well that was...pointless...He got a crown ages ago :/ And most of the time he...ah forget it >_> | 2009-12-13 13:18:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
I'm thinking maybe this is a public announcement of his crowning, because back when he did get his crown, it just sorta happened. Maybe they won't give him another one? Maybe this is just so he gets some sort of public recognition? Not sure. I dunno. He's always been helpful and nice to me. He was one of the only people on workshop who replied to my thread about the kitsune animation. ^_^ edit: Ard, maybe we should make a "CROWN ARD" thread and see what happens .... | 2009-12-13 13:22:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Where was it ever said that they get a crown anyway? | 2009-12-13 13:26:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Oh, um... here (sorry, was having a hard time finding it): http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-us/news/article/the_sackies_the_first_annual_sackademy_awards | 2009-12-13 13:32:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Ah, thanks. Must have skipped the last paragraph. | 2009-12-13 13:33:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Ard, maybe we should make a "CROWN ARD" thread and see what happens .... Yeah, just as an experiment to see if they listen, right? Yeah. Go for it | 2009-12-13 13:35:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Does anyone else find it ironic that StevenI didn't post this thread? Not much of an everwatching eye, now, is he? Didn't even see his own award ceremony first! (j/k Steven ) Edit: Ard, I don't think it's going to work a second time, unless... wait. What talents do you have? Can you possibly build a giant rocket cheetah? cause that will get you a crown. | 2009-12-13 13:45:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Congrats StevenI! | 2009-12-13 15:14:00 Author: hilightnotes Posts: 1230 |
Steven posts everything, and then mnimmo comes in and copies and pastes it to this forum. We know your secret mnimmo, we do... | 2009-12-13 15:24:00 Author: KQuinn94Z Posts: 1758 |
Steven posts everything, and then mnimmo comes in and copies and pastes it to this forum. We know your secret mnimmo, we do... I beg to differ...news reaches LBPC a lot sooner than it reaches LBW | 2009-12-13 15:26:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
Edit: Ard, I don't think it's going to work a second time, unless... wait. What talents do you have? Can you possibly build a giant rocket cheetah? cause that will get you a crown. No, it's gotta be surrounded by dark matter....and play itself | 2009-12-13 15:26:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
I have to be honest and say that this is the first time I ever heard of StevenI, I never visit the workshop except once or twice during the beta. That said however, I'll take your word for it and congratulate the guy on an amazing job!! | 2009-12-13 15:28:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
Steven's a good guy, and he's really on top of things over at workshop. It is really well deserved. ^_^ | 2009-12-13 15:35:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

(j/k Steven ) Actually I was out to dinner and have just got in. As much as I try to keep on top of things, a guy's got to eat. Besides somehow I don't think it would have been right for me to highlight my own award, so I was going to leave it for someone else to do anyway. Thanks for the thread though and of course, thanks to Sony and Media Molecule for the Sackie. | 2009-12-13 17:22:00 Author: StevenI Community Manager Posts: 420 |
You know, I just realized, Media Molecule missed a very big opportunity. They should have called this award "The Ever Watching I" ... | 2009-12-13 18:09:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
well that was a little pointless but still Congrats StevenI http://bp2.blogger.com/_TwK3s2Eg87g/SAQOcpJ64GI/AAAAAAAAAU8/L3RI4_uJddk/s320/The%2BEye%2BOf%2BSauron.jpg | 2009-12-13 18:19:00 Author: jump_button Posts: 1014 |
I don't think it's really pointless to add an award like this. It's something that is well worth recognising in a set of awards for the community. These sackies are about far more than the crowns IMO, it's about MM looking into the community and recognising (in a more official way), great things that have been done. | 2009-12-13 18:21:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
well only one nominee is a bit poinless ^^; | 2009-12-13 18:46:00 Author: jump_button Posts: 1014 |
well only one nominee is a bit pointless ^^; It may seem that way just looking at it, but say you have ten judges that all nominate the same person, then of course you are looking at only one nomination as not one of them said anyone else. One nominee means it was just a unanimous decision basically. | 2009-12-13 18:53:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |
well only one nominee is a bit poinless ^^; Perhaps. However the next valid arguement would be that the Prize Crown is being given out to too many people and by only nominating one person who also happens to already have one, they've worked well to restrict the amount of Prize Crowns being given out. | 2009-12-13 19:54:00 Author: StevenI Community Manager Posts: 420 |

I think you'll encounter a bit of uneasiness here because, well, you're active on LittleBigWorkshop and not so much on LBPCentral, and lots of our members don't visit LittleBigWorkshop and don't know who you are. I'm there quite a bit, though, and you are completely deserving. You really do keep up with the news better than anyone else and you even take the time to post that new content for the rest of the people at LittleBigWorkshop to see and comment on. I really think you definitely deserve the recognition. Nice job StevenI! | 2009-12-13 20:52:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
Nice job StevenI! Thanks ConfusedCartman. Although to be honest, I didn't feel that much hostility from anyone here. Even I was surprised to see that I was the only nominee for the award, as there's certainly other players who are deserving of recognition for similar contributions. However as I said though, on the bright side at least there's no complaints that Prize Crowns were being handed out too easily for this particular category. Still I'm looking forward to the rest of the nominee and winner announcements though, plenty of LittleBigPlanet community members that are deserving of recognition in their respective fields. Good luck everyone. | 2009-12-14 02:57:00 Author: StevenI Community Manager Posts: 420 |
One could also say that you deserve a medal for staying that long primarily on the Workshop, which, in my opinion at least, is the worst LBP related site. | 2009-12-14 09:51:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |

All it is is a notice saying We'll be back, yadda yadda, blah blah blah... Oh, and congrats. If only you could stack two crowns on top of each other. | 2009-12-14 21:19:00 Author: KlawwTheClown Posts: 1106 |
One could also say that you deserve a medal for staying that long primarily on the Workshop, which, in my opinion at least, is the worst LBP related site. Well now that was uncalled for... Say what you will about the LittleBigWorkshop but I like it and it works well for me. Besides there's nothing stopping other LittleBigPlanet community members from posting on there, whenever they feel like it. Sorry for the delayed reply. Would you believe that in the same week that I'm awarded the Ever Seeing Eye award, that the graphics card on my computer blows, effectively cutting me off from the internet via my PC. I can borrow the occassional laptop but it's just not the same as having my own lovely computer, with all those helpful LittleBigPlanet links stored on it. Oh well... Hopefully my replacement graphics card will arrive soon, unfortunately being a bit delayed due to the Christmas period though. Good thing that LittleBigPlanet isn't a PC game though. Otherwise with a certain DLC release coming out on Tuesday, I would be mighty upset if I was unable to even play LittleBigPlanet at the moment. | 2009-12-18 06:28:00 Author: StevenI Community Manager Posts: 420 |
