Hi everyone!
I finally finished my first level.
It took me some time and i hope u all like it!
Just look at the (crappy) pictures below to get an idea of it.
And after that of course play it!

I really liked this level. The overall atmosphere was excellent, and it had a bit of difficulty without being impossible or irritating. Some things could be improved; maybe put a checkpoint on top of the mountain when it erupts? However, overall I thought it was great and can;t wait to see more of your levels

4 stars, heart and creator heart.

Also: love the gold psp!

Thanks for that great feedback!
I thought of that checkpoint too, but being put back right into the eruption seemed not to be a good idea.

What else to improve?

Woah I'm very impressed with this level. It looks just superb, probably the best visuals I've seen on a LBP PSP level

It's a shame it's so short, otherwise it'd be the best PSP level so far. Still I love it, only real problem was the camera angles at the very end made it difficult to make some of the jumps.

Can't wait for more from you

Hey Arrestor,

I agree with Coxy224, that this was one of the most visually pleasing levels out there. The colors were vibrant, and the decorations fit the theme and landscape perfectly. My only gripe was the length of the level...it left me wanting more...I thought the ending was abrupt and didn't give a finality to the level...perhaps you can add more?

Job well done...5 stars, level and author heart...

Although I'm currently busy with the create mode and Christmas and everything, yesterday I could play your level. And I had a blast with it. Your modelling skills are amazing, everything felt perfectly crafted, natural and realistic but also charming. I could feel the lava, what a great effect you achieved. The helicopter was very good, too. And the elevator!

My only complain is the camera angle of the last section, which made it really hard to jump from tree to tree.

But it's a 5 stars level anyway, hearted level and author.

Great looks, loved the initial climb, sneaking from layer to layer, but I have to agree about the checkpoints. I died on top when the volcano erupted, and it's a bit weird to land back down. My first reaction was to run left, away from the volcano.

But still a very good level.

Sorry it took me so long to get around to the review! This is a really good level with fantastic visuals and fun gameplay. Your lava effects are the best I have seen, and I like your environments and objects as well. Helicopters are very easy to screw up, but yours is excellent. Visually it's simple (in a good way), but the part you nailed is the flight characteristics. I was dreading getting into the chopper from the fear I'd end up upside down at the far corner of a blank level, pinned down by a rocket that wouldn't shut off. Yours took off beautifully, flew gracefully, and gave me a nice gentle landing at the end. Color me impressed. (I'll guess you accomplished this with an off-screen cart on a track and hung the helicopter using invisible string. Nice job!) Your elevator looks great as well.

As others have said, you need more checkpoints. The waterfall section looks great, but it's quite difficult to land the jumps. I'd suggest making it less lethal overall... or perhaps not lethal at all. Unelectrify the water and make the gas thin layer objects. You can still have the trees the camera angle the way it is - just put point bubbles in the trees to entice more adventurous players into doing some platforming.

Great work - I want to see what else you can come up with in subsequent levels. 5 stars, hearted, and a creator heart.

Hey Taffey!
Thanks for the great Review and your tips to improve the level.
Impressing you may be not easy, so i am honoured.
Actually you were right with your guess.

Right now i am working on my next level. After that i plan to improve this one. (Especially the waterfall section).

Thanks again and happy new year!

I just wanted to say thanks to this great community and proudly announce that this level now has 300 plays! I know this is not much in relation to the "big ones" but i never thought my levels would get played so many times. I am not a well known creator from the ps3 section or something like that so i am just happy with this!2010-01-15 12:52:00

Congrats!! 300 plays is quite a lot, especially for the PSP.

But really, we should be thanking you for creating such a fun level to play and posting it here to let us know about it.

(By the way, your lava effects are still the best I have seen, and they inspired me to make the lava cave section of Armagadder.)

Part of my next level happens inside a volcano, and I'm having a hard time to recreate the lava effect as good as you did. You can be really proud about it.2010-01-16 20:00:00

Well, I am REALLY late to the game on this feedback. I must admit, I actually had not tried the level until tonight because I was a bit late to start playing community level on PSP since I had to download the NA version off of PSN (which ended up being delayed an extra week), and then I wanted to beat the story mode 100%, which took another week, and then I wanted to make my first level which took a few weeks. So I was over a month in before even starting to check out user created levels.

LOL, I guess that that has nothing to do with your level though, so sorry about that, I just wanted to explain that my reasoning for not playing it had nothing to do with disinterest, and more to do with having a lot of catching up to do with levels and also wanting to create.

So, here I finally am after playing it. I think the first thing that really sticks out is the lava effects. As Lleonard said, you really nailed it in this level. I think that the next thing that really jumped out was all the vehicles that you ride. I really enjoyed riding down the volcano on the cart, and I was impressed with just how well it worked. I actually didn't try jumping off the cart to see if it emitted another one (or was there a save point on the cart???), but I'll just assume that you had that all figured out. The helicopter ride was also fun, but if I remember right, there wasn't all that much scenery, and after riding for a while, I began wondering if I was doing something wrong. It really didn't take that long, but since there wasn't really any way to see if I was moving, it was hard to tell if something was wrong.

The platforming seemed to work fine for me. I never got stuck or irritated at anything. I especially liked the start of the level where you had the played going back and forth between layers to climb up the volcano. I always enjoy some good layer platforming like that, and you did good stuff with it.

I really don't have much for to say. The level looked good, the vehicles worked well, and the platforming was fun. I think that it would have been good to add more story if possible, but the level is fine without it. The only other thing would be to add a bit more scenery.

Great work on your first PSP level I've already commented on your second one, because it came out after I began playing community levels I'll look forward to your 3rd level!
