That's a nice selection of levels, and post-apocalyptic is a darn pretty level! Hmmm, I wonder what the other categories there will be? I'm assuming best story / scripting will be one of them. Maybe best series? There should probably be a "most masochistic underground adventure" category, that's what every awards ceremony needs

This is exciting! I assume this is what we were helping towards by voting for our top three levels the other week. I think that splitting the awards into categories with a pretty long list of nominees (who all get a crown) is a much better way to go than we all feared at the time. This is going to be great to watch unfold. Congratulations to the winner and all the nominees in the first category! Wonder what the winners' prizes will be!

I'm curious as to what the other categories are. Best LBP machinima video Over the last 12 months or so, YouTube, Blip, and other video portals have been flooded with LittleBigPlanet related videos. A search for LittleBigPlanet on YouTube returns a list of over 50,000 videos to watch. Most of these are level play-throughs, but amongst them are some amazing gems ? dances, montages, trailers, stories ? all manner of machinima. This award is for the best of those videos. Ever-watching eye There are some people amongst you who dedicate such a huge proportion of their life to making sure everyone is as well informed as possible, and they do that by keeping their eyes always glued to the internet, constantly searching and reading RSS, and then immediately reporting back the second anything happens. They then stick around and answer every single LittleBigPlanet question everyone ever has on every single forum known to man. This award is in recognition of that dedication. All from the RSS feed. Sadly the links in it are broken.

Hmm, most of the "Ever watching eyes" I can think of already have crowns... This is what I'm thinking. It seems odd to have a category where all the nominees already have the prize. Although I suppose this is far more about recognising people than the prizes. I can't help but wonder how much it would have cost to invent a new prize specially for this - like all nominees geta crown and the winner gets an even more exclusive costume piece I do hope the majority are given for work within the game though, with only a couple for the wider community aspects, but that's just me.

And another guy i think has gotten much worse than me (Barbed-wire I think it was) I've gotten it hard because no one takes the time to practice with the golf mechanics. They just take a shot (while completly ignoring or not trying out the tutorial), miss horribly (or try to cheat), whine and leave. I remember seeing that so many times when i just wait at the start to watch how others do it during the testing days. I think its because people keep thinking a level has to be ABSOULTLEY perfect in order to get a crown. They think thats the ONLY way to get a crown. Or its just simple pure jealousy

People do funny things when they're jealous of someone else. And they say pretty horrible things, too. After I won my crown, I've been told on my youtube channel that my animation was the worst thing ever, and there was one message that was left that said something that I cannot even repeat here because of how many curses it had in it. It is really a shame that people lash out this way. I'd love to be nominated for one of these awards, but I'm not about to leave negative rep for something like that!!! the people who are winning are very deserving. They should be congratulated, not punished for it! Things are better now than in the beginning of LBP when it was IMPOSSIBLE to get recognized.

Holy crap!! Wow, this came out of nowheres! I've been without internet for a while, but it seems every time I take a wee break from LBP, some new lovely surprise is waiting for me. I had a few messages, on PSN and here, saying "congrats on the crown" and I had NO IDEA what was going on. This is absolutely awesome. Does this have anything to do with that "pick your top 3 best levels" thing that Mm wanted us to send them? Or are we still waiting on that? Perhaps that will be the grand "best level of the year" sackie? In which case, look out MrSuperComputer. Thanks to everyone who expressed congrats! I finally got a durn'd crown, so I guess I can't properly put myself in the "underground cult levels" category anymore. Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for being pants-peeingly happy. I also want to mention how happy I was to see my level amongst the awesome creations nominated for this category. These levels are all classics, and are amongst my all-time favorites.

Thanks to everyone who expressed congrats! I finally got a durn'd crown, so I guess I can't properly put myself in the "underground cult levels" category anymore. Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for being pants-peeingly happy. Yep... now that you're officially a crossover success story, we can first start saying that we knew about The Movies before everyone else, and then when you go in a different artistic direction that you personally enjoy doing but appears to be formulaic, Hollywood stuff that's just too polished, perfect and entertaining, we can then call you a sell-out and go back to playing Ramp which is now the new cool thing to do since no-one likes it anymore and bad becomes the new good. :kz:
