Explore an old&mystic Aztec-Temple with many mean&dangerous Traps. But there are also many treasures to find...
all
I know the temple, ruin theme is often used in LBP Levels...but i think it's just a nice theme for a Level...

This is my first build, so I really like to get some more Feedback on it...

The Lev. starts with a Flight with a Mexico Airline Rocket to the top of the temple, where u find the entrance...

Inside u will meet some selfbuild enemies, like the Aztec-Fire-Thrower...
Also there are many dangerous Traps...can u get over them ???

Your main goal is to get through the temple and find the graet treasure room. But hmmm there is some kind of key missing...

I really spend time on building this, so I hope that much people will play it and like it...

I also will do updates, fixes if i get som constructie Feedback....

Thx a lot...

Here are some Screenshots (quality is not that good...made it with the ingame-photo-tool...)

Hiya Joe,

I like your start with the rocket. Maybe add a timer and have a countdown and smoke before the rocket launches.

I'm inside the temple, I like the decorations and the way you've mixed shapes together. The rubber and rock... work! who knew! The monkey object works nicely with the style of the temple.

Its all quite dark in here and the spikes seem a bit randomly placed. I.e. it feels like a computer game level rather than an actual temple. Its so dark I barely saw the handle to the second door.

Nice platforming section with the moving pillars. You almost got me with the rotating platform at the bottom.

The 'look' of the level is really impressing me. Again the mixed materials of gold, stone and green grabbable work really well.

The electric axe looks really out of place. Maybe put a non-electric front layer on it. The circle pattern behind it is really nice.

what's the point of a door that opens automatically when i reach it? ...and.. to be honest.. whats the point of a door with a switch right next to it? Its neither puzzling or challenging.

Its really hard to get those red balls swinging. I'm on the second one now and cos the winch goes up and down, you cant get any momentum. Not a fan of them sorry.

The extended platformy section with the flaming balls is very tricky. I died a few times, I had to 'learn' the timing. Not necessarily a problem, but my level was/is too hard I think and it puts people off completing.

woah... just completed the spinning grabbables section. Looks lovely - very hard. I think this is a good thing - but I would have liked a checkpoint in the middle. Levels should either be a feast for the senses, a puzzle for the mind or a test of skill - this level is a test of skill with some lovely visuals as well. --but don't let your check points be far apart. Little things like, you have the checkpoint about 20 meters from the first spinning ball... everytime I die.. i have to run that 20 meters again and again.. gets repetitive.

Haven't mentioned this yet... you have prize bubbles nicely placed about - well done. Treasure chamber section is cool - but do we really need the first clue? Just have the "can you find somewhere it fits" with the jewel and let the user do the rest.

Ok the sombrero skateboard over turned, so i killed myself to get another one - its put me back into the temple with different visual effects. You need an extra checkpoint - AND to make the vehicle a lot more stable.

...and the sombrero hasnt respawned. Put it in an emitter with a proximity switch just before it would be seen. set the total spawned at one time to one and it will delete the original.

I now can't get past the big fire pit to get back to the vehicle so I'm screwed.
This means I can't complete the level.

Lovely visuals, hard but good platforming but I cant finish this level. Needs work I'm afraid.

Adipose.

Alright. Bit late, but I've yea - heres my words on your level Joe.

I can see that you've changed a few things since I first played it (just went through it again today) - and only for the better.

First of all : Great to see that the rocket has a counter now, but I still can't miss the fact that you have a elevator if something goes wrong. Would probably work on something that's sure to take the player up there, no matter what (I like the whole rocket idea though)

Seems like you fixed the first lift inside the temple aswell (the one that goes down).

I kinda like how you said my level was hard, when this, your own, is straight up evil at times There's a lot of mean machines in there that takes a lot of trial and error (which might turn a lot of players off). I'm not a big fan of those big red grabbable things that goes up and down. They're hard to maneuvre and takes quite the timing (and sometimes luck) to get em' to work the way you want. Would consider replacing them with platforms if I were you.

You also use em' for the puzzle key - I suggest switching em out with a sponge or something. They're just a pain imo.

Also noticed that you've added some much needed checkpoints (the one down at the spinners is a good addition).

The general look of the level works. It's a bit dark, but I don't think it hurts the gameplay value - actually it only helps to add to the atmosphere when combined with the materials you've chosen. It looks really really good overall.

Really liked the small room with the little bridge that collapsed, can't remember if you have some sound connected to that - might consider (background in there looked top notch).

What else? I died a couple of times on the candles. Great that you've made your own bad guys. I'm not really sure the Sumbrero car works yet. Yesterday it tipped over for me, but today it worked like wonders... dunno? It's straight up platforming and I like it.

All in all a pretty good level, that I can see you've put a lot of effort into

:star::star::star::star: + heart.
