Hello from Seattle!

I guess I should probably make a post here since I started posting today: My name is Elton and I'm from Houston, TX, but moved to Seattle, WA a couple of months ago. I've been following LBP since G4 mentioned it in their E3 coverage, and then stood in line for 40 minutes at PAX to play it. Since then, I've been obsessed, even trying my hand at one of the challenges (http://www.flickr.com/photos/45667725@N00/2855069494/). The only other PS3 games I have right now are Rock Band, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Devil May Cry 4. I've pre-ordered LBP and will likely get Rock Band 2 late this year. Oh, and I have all my PS2 games still, too. Never bought a platformer for it since none of them really jumped out at me, but I loved the old school platformers when I was little and this game seems like a true evolution of the genre. Looking forward to seeing how the community grows around this game It seems to be friendlier than the communities around more intense multiplayer games. Yep, THIS site is, how shall we say, friendly? Anyway, I'll do what I do for every newcomer: Giver you a peanut. Here! | 2008-09-25 22:10:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Welcome to the forums. And trust me, if you take his peanut, you automatically become his slave. So don't! | 2008-09-25 22:18:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
Yeah... The peanut thing is kinda true. It is just a lure. I took it. *Shudders at memories* Welcome to the forums!! | 2008-09-25 22:21:00 Author: moleynator Posts: 2914 |

What does the "peanut" get me? Elton Accepting the peanut means you accept me as your lord and master... or something. Whaaaale's just mad because I dine on whale smothered in peanut butter. | 2008-09-25 22:36:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

We used to go to SeaWorld when I was little, and Shamu was the ****, so I'm going to have to turn down the peanut Thanks, anyway! Elton LOL! Shamu, ah forgot about the cousin after he left for show biz. How is he doing by the way? Did you get a chance to talk to him? *Notices that this thread is getting off-topic* Welcome to the foru... Oh wait.... | 2008-09-26 06:08:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
By the way, just so you know, or if you haven't noticed, the back-and-forth random banter between these people here is about as antagonistic as it gets around here. Come on, people, get a move on! Don't spam it up in this poor fellow's introduction thread! Alright, out the door with yeh. Go. Go! That way! *Gives a shove.* And don't come back, ya hear? *Turns and dusts off hands.* *Extends hand.* Hey. Welcome to the forums. Enjoy your stay! Also good to know another Texan. (And really, Texas has an above normal ratio in these forums. But, when you consider that Texas is bigger than most European countries, that's not as hard to believe.) | 2008-09-26 06:23:00 Author: Mark D. Stroyer Posts: 632 |

But, when you consider that Texas is bigger than most European countries, that's not as hard to believe.) I actually heard on a podcast (I can't remember if it was Buzz Out Loud or TWiT) that a lot of Houstonians were buying PS3s and videogames and stuff in the aftermath of Ike. So maybe we'll be seeing more? Yeah, Texas has 3 of the most populous cities in the country, so it does make sense, mathemeticaly. It's nice to be away from the heat (though I know I may miss it in a few months). Elton | 2008-09-26 08:00:00 Author: Eptiger Posts: 128 |
