Gluing something to a piece attached by a piston = kills piston
Archive: 5 posts
Is this me who NEVER EVER glued bubbles onto a piece moved by pistons or this is a new bug? This is really annoying because now I cannot glue anything to any piece that's already moving (gluing on the same side as the piston is attached I mean). Oh yeah and I didn't test further. I thought some of you guys might fancy do it. -Maybe it's not just bubbles causing it but also by gluing anything? -Maybe it's because I am gluing some that was previously objectised? -Is it only with pistons or all types of connections? Have fun. | 2009-12-09 21:54:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
I was making an enemy for a level. The enemy's "tail" was made of multiple sections, connected via rods at the top of them. When I glued a piece of material on top of where one of the rods ended, the rod disappeared. I then attempted to corner edit an alcove for the rod to exist in, and the rod stayed after I glued the piece to it, but when I removed the alcove with the corner editor, the rod once again disappeared. It seems that rod connectors et al can no longer exist "inside" of other objects/shapes. I'm pretty sure they could before, IIRC. | 2009-12-09 23:51:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
Hmm..I dont have this problem. Wonder what causes it? | 2009-12-10 02:55:00 Author: Testudini Posts: 3262 |
I think I may have actually had this problem before, but I couldn't pin-point the source of the problem. Are you gluing the material in such a way that it is trying to glue directly to the side of the piston joint? I don't think that would be it, but y'never know. I think what is worse is when you have a piston that refuses to be deleted without destroying the material it's connected to. You have to cut around the piston, and then delete it. Weird. | 2009-12-10 03:22:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
My exact steps were that I objectised some bubbles glued together. Then I was putting that object at multiple places then at some point I glued one on the same surface a piston was attached. This killed the piston. . | 2009-12-10 04:20:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
