Well perhaps to add more clarity to these tutorial levels, I think there should definitely be talk on, Level Composition.
Which includes scenery.

I would definitely like to see tutorials on Level Design Concepts, Getting the most out of your layers both visually and practically, and composing level pieces that are pleasing to the eye and easy to follow but visually satisfying.

Just putting in some input or stating my opinion of what I would want out of a tutorial like that.

Going with the logicpack and your idea here, it might be possible to create a whole series completely devoted to learning and getting people to push their creativity. So I am also all for this!

Seems interesting enough (as in the concept of pushing creativity as renegade said), but I'm confused on how you would go about making this. I'd be interested in joining, but would it be like the Atmosphere tutorial, but go into depth more for different theme types and special ways to get effects that require more than the obvious?2009-12-08 20:29:00

Why would you give anesthetics? xD I believe you mean "aesthetics".

Well yeah, as said in the VM, I'd really enjoy being a part of this. ^^ I feel I'm up to par...even though I haven't finished a level recently. xD If you want to see any of them, I could just invite you and show you the half-done (not even half) levels that I had worked on...

As a virtual noob to LBP, I think this is a pretty cool concept. I have loved the LBPC logic toolkit and learned quite a bit on what can really be done in LBP beyond the obvious with some free thinking.

While I may not be the most experienced, I'm willing to put in the elbow grease to help out. Worst case scenario - I learn a thing or two in the process.

I have left a VM but am not added to the list. xD

Ummm, so how would this all work? Would we do online create and work in groups or will we each be alloted a level and work on it?

I wouldn't mind getting to work on something right now, I just want a little background on how you see this project going about. xD

I wholeheartedly support this idea. However, you guys need to do Online Create because it might be confusing if you all go off on your own, not knowing how the others have set them out and make a whole mess.

Have a plan first on the forum, then you all build the levels together so you get the best possible result. There aren't any deadlines.

Also, I need this; my levels always look second-rate.

I'll attempt a Savannah themed thing. Showing which objects/materials/stickers, ect work best when attempting to create a safari/savannah/african jungle styled level. :3 If that's all right of course. I could start soon and then publish it locked and send you the key and you can either approve or disapprove it.2009-12-17 02:31:00

Awww. Well good luck to your levels!

In the mean time I have entered contest. Almost entirely finished a level and well in between I am definitely helping out on this project.

I do think we need to set up some way to communicate with all of the team involved in this. We need more communicating!

Hi There! I would deffinently like to join your team you've got. I haven't actually published more then one level as of yet, though I have made tons of betas and objects. I'm good at making logic and I'm excellent at making detailed objects and scenery. I'm not so skilled at making thermo-friendly objects though! I tend to overdue the detail, lol. I do not have a Mic yet, but I do have a keyboard to communicate with. My username is RottenAvocado, so just get with me whenever you have the chance.

If I'm not logged on just send me a message via PSN and I'll respond accordingly.

Hey konnik, that was really fun today.

Glad you enjoyed my style and I'll attempt to make a tutorial level to show how I go about most of my stuff. I kind of let you go crazy today. xD I was interested in seeing someone else's create style and yours was very cool.

For that dark matter logic and the like, I plan to change it to wood and push it off as a tree that way I can keep the thermo as low as possible. I'll also be picking up a keyboard sometime soon (probably tomorrow) along with a PSStore card so that I'm prepared for water. I have ideas for an amazing water level at the moment, so that may end up taking away from my Savannah tutorial level.

I'm guessing this whole thing is a learning process as well as a set of levels to teach others. I learned quite a bit from watching konnik experiment on my level and he pointed out some things I hadn't even thought of (albeit they were problems with gameplay, but nonetheless, it helps to see how other people make their scenery).

I have my own style, and he had his own, and when it blended, it became a masterpiece. I've been taking some of his techniques and continuing my level with them. I've also made the COOLEST tiger ever, and he'll act as the "guide" to the Savannah tutorial.
