We've just had a little bit so far but they are calling the storm arriving tomorrow around noonish the "Snowpocalypse" on the radio around here. 12 -18 inches pretty fast and furious with high winds. Should be fun to drive home in.... *sigh* We've had worse 2009-12-08 02:53:00

Same. I live there too, and this is what TMJ4 and the news stations talk about:

THE GREAT WHITE DEATH!
SIX INCHES OF SNOW!
SNOW DAYS!
SWINE FLU!
DON'T SMOKE!
ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!! (Not so much)

All I got is just a light snow cover.

On the news right now, they are talking about stocking up your house for the GREAT WHITE DEATH.
I bet anyone who is willing to bet 50XP that there will be less than three inches of snow tomorrow at noon.

Snow rarely hits hard here before the new year. But afterwards...

Yesterday was our first day of snow (surpringly somtimes our first day of snow was around halloween), but like all the 1st days of snow here, its very little.

Where I used to live, snow could reach up to 20 feet. It once snowed in July, and a 2 story icicle once formed on a building.

I liked that place.

A bit too early for Snow here. If we get any this year I doubt it will be before January.
Been rainy and overcast for what feels like years though.

Not a whole lot by my house, but we always get pummeled by snow where we live every year, so I'm willing to bet that we'll have at least three feet within the next month.2009-12-08 16:15:00

Here in the Mitten (Michigan for all you outsiders), we are expecting the same Snowpacalypse that Morgana is expecting, except ours will pick of some more snowfall once it crosses the lake... Yikes. I'm seriously hoping for campus to close down for the day (and I can get some work done on my level!) Cross your fingers for me...2009-12-08 18:00:00

We had some snow on Saturday. It started as soon as we started putting up our trees and ended when we finished. lol. It was like it wanted us to have that as our backdrop while we put up the trees.

We got about two or three inches, and it was really good snowball snow!

I hope we don't get a Snowpacalypse... I work on a mountain and there's no way I could get to work if that happened. Wait. Maybe that's a good thing.

I love rain. Heavy rain, really heavy rain with strong winds.
Especially when you're in the middle of a massive field with nowhere to hide. Just standing there, drenched after a few seconds, laughing maniacally but not hearing it over the wind.

Best thing ever. Or pretty close.

I have a friend that recently moved to Colorado and he said it's gotten a buttload of snow lately, up to knee length! (Does that sound about right)? It's been raining here in Tennessee today and it's supposed to get down to 20 degress tomorrow night in my area! Heavy rain/wind/flash floods followed by a bone-chilling cold front? Am I smelling something interesting here?2009-12-09 00:58:00

Man, this winter storm is going to be so bad that weather.com is having trouble loading...

In seriousness, the report is:

Tonight: Windy. Snow this evening will mix with sleet and freezing rain at times late. Low 31F. Winds E at 20 to 30 mph. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected. High of 31.

Tomorrow: Rain and snow in the morning. Light snow and windy in the afternoon. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds SW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of precip 90%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches. High of 35.

Tomorrow Night: Snow along with gusty winds at times. Low 17F. Winds W at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph. High of 17.

Looks like mother nature is about to unleash her fury tomorrow night. Let's hope that the freezing rain tonight is bad enough to call off school (unlikely).

OK, the GREAT WHITE DEATH has descended upon the great state of Wisconsin and all the news is about it.
NCIS was stopped because of bad signal (because of snow) and they just had some stupid weather crap. We may have a snow day tomorrow, and THAT would be sweet. It seems to be getting colder earlier.

SO MUCH FOR YOUR THEORY, AL GORE!

When I mentioned where I used to live...despite all the snow, the amount of 5-20 feet and all that. There would still be school. Buses and some vehicles would just put giant snowplows on the front of there vehicles. I once got a snow day though because something on the buses froze, might have been the fuel. Someone left something open or something.
There would be about 2 snow days in 4 years. Even though it snowed about 2/4th of it

What's the point living in Sweden if I don't get any snow?!

Well I'll let you know there are numerous reasons to actually live in Sweden that has nothing to do with snow at all.
But you know what?
This is like that one time with the whipped cream where I forgot to bring a cherry. It's just not the same.

I swear, there used to be snow in September!

You know, maybe I should stop washing my hair. After all, someone HAS to save christmas.

And I accidentally posted a thread doing the exact same as this.
I can't open it, but I figured it out when I saw there was one post from ARD, who always points out things said before (no offense).

When I posted it, I never saw it, so sorry!

Where I live, we never get snow... EVER!

I hate it, because I was born in snow, and I can't even remember how it looks. The cities near us sometimes get snow, but my city never gets even a sleet of snow. Only hail.

So ya, I get sad when I see the weather channel say it snowed near us, but not exactly here.
