The Crazy Pollo 3: El Loco Chicken?!Eprim
The third part of the Crazy pollo story about betrayal, hate, death and Right and Wrong in a very epic story
all
This one continues right where you left off last time: on heaven after
meeting the dead king he helps you find a way to go back to earth and to the crazy pollo, so you can have your revenge!

It took me quite some time to finish(mostly from creator blocks and redoing half the level because it sucked) so please try it out and i hope you enjoy it

Just a note: i think i got an epiphany making this level, right after
you blow up the crazy pollo statue i started doing the rest of the level completely diferent but i think better, please tell me what you think

I enhanced them graphicaly, and make them more consistent whit the story


btw im thinking about creating a group for the (imaginary) crazy pollo fans, to discuss the story and everything now that i have a spin-off series coming... and i already did The Pollos (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/group.php?groupid=278) and idk we can discuss everything there like maybe you have a weird series and want to make a crossover, we make it.

Fellow LBPCers please help!
there seems to be some problems with the level, nobody seems to be able to beat it and i cant find the reason, so i need help from somebody to play it and tell me whats the problem, because theres nobody on the scoreboard, please answer as soon as posible

I was actually extremely impressed with the level. I had a blast and thought that the environment was very well done. Neat effects where utilized and I will certainly play it again (hopefully to make it to the end) ... let me tell you why I couldn't finish ...

I was a decent way through the game (at least I hope I was) when I got an add-on player joining. No big deal - we managed to get through some of this thing together. He added in the green area just prior to the spinning wheel maze with the disolving door. We made it up to where the elevator is out of service.

Once we got there I went left and figured out how to shoot your wagon. We then went back right. I am not sure if it was the elevator but the "add" player started up the tube leaving me behind ... he jumped back down. We went right and pulled the switches to launch the bird zombie back to the elevator. Unfortunately while the message read that the elevator was fixed, it did not work. I am guessing because the add sent it away without us, but I can't be sure. I could have missed something. We spent about fifteen minutes going between the three rooms ... but couldn't figure it out and ended up quitting. I still gave it :star::star::star::star::star: as I was most impressed with the originality and environment. I will be going to look for pollo 1 & 2 as well as returning to three hopefully to not have an add send up the elevator without me.

Opening: Cool opening in heaven. I didn't play the first two but I still got some sort of idea of what the story of the level was. The teleport down into hell from heaven was interesting to me.

Gameplay: My first though when fall into hell was "Cool! I'm walking on fire!" Then I got to a part where the ground was lethal. I had no idea that the ground was switching, maybe indicate that somehow. When I got to the room with the 9 blocks, I got squished, and then had to wait for all 9 blocks to emit and then vaporize. Maybe add something in to speed up the process. Laughed quite hard at the section with the crusher blocks and the little chicken heads sitting around, and also at the "one last race" part. The platforming was pretty redundant but not boring, so I wouldn't call it a negative - I didn't find any problems. My only real complaint about the level was that after the throne room scene you can still jump down into other parts. I never like to have to pop my Sackboy!

Puzzles: I loved the little circular maze that you had to hold on to survive. Shortly after that there's a little section where you have to do two mini-puzzles to activate the elevator. Have multiple paths ALWAYS makes the level better - it's never fun just to run to the right all day.

Visuals: For a while I was thinking, "SO MUCH FIRE!" but then I got out of hell. I'm really glad you made the scenery change because if you hadn't I probably would have gone Start -> Return to Pod... Oh wait... There's more fire.

Hazards: Again - SO MUCH FIRE. I was quite happy to see you included some self-created moving enemies though. Always positive aspect to a level.

I didn't think I would like the level when I started. Something about chickens makes them seem like weak opponents for a story. When I reached the end though, I was having a good time.

Thanks lieufa and there had to be so much fire because both hell and the volcano are important parts of the story, i tried to make dangerous fire look different by painting them blue and at the crazy pollo's castle i used fire as a hazard because it looked better with the material than electricity or spikes anyway thanks2009-12-11 19:25:00

I like the heavenly beginning. Penguins in heaven - who knew!

Theres a slight logic problem in hell - how come the fire im walking on doesnt hurt, but the fire on the walls does? The fire effect is ok, but perhaps a combination of rock and flames might be better.

The rotating flamey bits are quite clearly arrow cut outs. Doesnt look good. Demon chickens are fun. I like the 'CHARGE' mentality.

I've just died in the dropping platforms section, and having to wait for it to finish. Is it possible to have a quicker reset? I like the idea though - although it does remind me of the mm version. The randomness of the drops is annoying. there isn't time to react between it appearing and it squishin you.

I tried using the 'jump on the one that just appeared' technique and it went left twice in a row :-z Ok i got to the top... but it wasn't clear which way to go... I realised about 5 seconds later to go right but I wasn't in time. Last attempt/last life....

I made it! Nice gooey flesh section - the eyes made me smile. What didn't make me smile was getting killed by an electric arrow that I couldn't see coming. I don't mind dying, but I need to have a chance to see it in advance and move.

I'm back on earth! I do like the plot btw - fight ur way back to earth - perhaps we needed a boss battle before getting back?

When i walk left just back earth I can still see the flames of hell.

Nice sponges. The switch either needs a noise or magic camera or something.

Very bare green section at the top. Lack of decoration here. Also, why is sackboy surprised at the lava, but not the weird floating electric triangles

I like the purple and red lights, but the 5 second race was a bit pointless - sorry.

I like the adventure style of this level but Im ready for it to finish at this point. Perhaps each part could have been a different level - and therefore you could focus more on the graphics and gameplay of each piece. This always feels like the barebones of each section because ur waiting to get to the next one.

I really liked the look of the round cutout spinning platforms... until i realised they don't really work. You can't get any kind of speed with your jump out of them. I ended up doing a weird half jump off the backside of them.

The rotating maze works well. The shooting game is fine.

Unfortunately the zombie creating room I cant do anything with. The pieces hit each other so wont line up ( I assume I'm supposed to be assembling it ). The pieces won't move all the way across and get stuck on each other.

sorry but I can't seem to continue any further. I may have missed something but I think I'm stuck.

I like what u've tried to do in the level but I think this is a case of quantity over quality. I would have prefered a far shorter level with cleaner gameplay that had been better tested. As it is I feel that I've spent 20 minutes in this level getting a bit frustrated. I know my level (in sig) is a bit long - but yours is EPIC! Being long is fine if the quality keeps the players interest all the way through. Unfortunately yours doesnt at the moment. Try going straight from hell to the castle and focusing on those sections.

Fixed both of those problems

it isnt dangerous anymore, it has turned into a puzzle sort of deal

youre supposed to grab them and jump across, its a challenge, you have to be fast to get up and out in time.

Youre supposed to put them together at the center of the room, thats why they dont move "all the way across" and they do work

My levels focus more on the story so if a section is there, its because it has to be there:
Heaven: you are left there in the crazy pollo 2 ending
Hell: youre supposed to go through it to go back to polloworld and it plays an even bigger role in the next chapters
House: the crazy pollo came and thrashed it which makes the protagonist angrier
Cave with grass: its a necessary transition between the house and the volcano that shows how much effect the Evil powers have on the polloworld
Volcano: the thing in there is a teleporter and its the plot of the next "crazy pollo"
The city: Again the protagonist getting angrier and his character developing
The Castle: Its the ending, its obvious, thats where the crazy pollo is



I know my level (in sig) is a bit long - but yours is EPIC! Being long is fine if the quality keeps the players interest all the way through. Unfortunately yours doesnt at the moment. Try going straight from hell to the castle and focusing on those sections

Ok i deleted the volcano, now its just a room with the teleporter

when i first read your post i found it so annoying that i just had to prove it wrong
but i guess at the end it was helpful, so i give you a VERY sincere thanks

Edit: Your post also made go completely insane and accept that my crazy pollo woould never get back the 4 star rating, all because of a bug that is already fixed, so i published again from start, because this last level, has been only frustration and dissapointment for me...

Ok so a very interesting level, not the best visuals but not bad either. The random nature I'm guessing was intended, electrocuted triangles hovering in the air on top of a cave right outside your house? lol I guess it makes sense somehow, anyway I managed to make it up to the um, fast rubber things? really easily. At that point I could not pass, the first one made it to the end, flipped and killed me, the second made flipped and trapped me in a way that i had to use the popit retry, the last made it all the way then bounced off and flung me into some spikes on the ground. So from there I tried to walk to the end and use the remnants of the vehicles as stairs, however it seemed there was a large amount of random spikes laying in front of them and I kept dying. On my last life I managed to make it over, but there was another set of spikes in the darkness over there apparently and I died again.

I wanted to complete the level,I just found I was unable to pass that section.

Also, how did you make the walk-on-able fire? I noticed you used it a lot and it has a slightly different texture to normal fire, where did you get that?
