I've been having this problem for a couple of weeks now. When playing online levels the golden face marking a completed level does not appear on the level icon. I was hoping that the profile updates included in Leerdammer would have fixed this issue but no luck. It seems to work only very occasionally. And the same goes with the new silver face. I suspected that this would somehow relate to my profile. I've tried to delete all the community objects and other stuff but it does not help. I couldn't find any answers in the existing threads. Anyone experiencing similar symptoms?

Yeah kind of it doesent happen often but what i usually do is go through levels and play any level without a gold or silver face and then find out i have played it before... it never bothered me though and didn't happen often so i never did anything... How often does it actually show the gold or silver face like most of the time, not much, never...

I only get the gold / silver face rarely. I'd estimate 1 out of 10 plays. It's really annoying not to be able to easily see if I have played the level before.

Weird... Do you ever get the message Failed to upload scores? This is a horribly wild guess, but do you have upload speed issues or just lag in general while playing LBP? The reason I ask is it is almost like your completion routine call never makes it to the posting server or whatever process they use to post to their tracking database. At least I doubt it is stored local.

No error messages at all. I've seen that 'failed to upload' message sometimes but it doesn't seem to be related. I have plenty of bandwidth (both directions) and very rarely have any lag. I've also tried to use both wired and wireless connection but it doesn't make any difference. As mentioned before I have tried to clean up my profile as much as possible. The only thing that I haven't deleted is 14 pages of hearted levels and creators. I wouldn't expect that to be so exceptional amount that it would cause these problems?

The issue I've been facing just seems to be getting worse. It would be nice to know if anyone else is experiencing similar problems and if there is any remedy available. As explained before I very seldom get the golden face appearing after completing a level. In order to confirm if I have played the level before I have to go to the scoreboard page which is quite frustrating. Now I have also started to have hearts on levels I have not hearted (but someone else has). These only appear when I'm browsing levels. So these "unhearted" levels do not appear on my hearted levels page. Any thoughts how to fix this?

I think most of this is due to LBP's online system services. The heart issue you mention is a known bug for example. It might be that your uid is much newer in their database and it is just a new layer of issues to their already taxed and somewhat glitchy services. So basically I feel your issue is really an Mm issue due to their online services and or their database.

Most welcome! I try to help when I actually might know something! lol !! I think they will. Last year they had a horrible issue with their rating service in that no stars would ever show up. As a result any published level while it was messed up caused that level to be 3 stars regardless of what anyone would rate. I'm confident that was another database issue. I think they never really planned well for having so many players as well as so many levels and the infrastructure (servers, online services, and databases) they built was never designed to handle all that. I think they will fix as soon as they can. I did see them post an ad for a Network Software Analyst position which tells me they are aware they need more help in that arena. Best of luck!

After posting what i said before it got worse for me as well and i would very rarely see the gold sackboy, but then after that i saw them all the time. So that means they must be trying to fix it at the momment...
