Calling All Little BIG Celebs!!

Archive: 40 posts

LBP FOR PSP IS HERE! But we need to nurture an infant game for it to grow and become great... Which is why I am calling all Little BIG Celebrities! A little big celebrity is a creator curator who is well known throughought the LBP community as a great creator, Like Steve Big Guns. If you considder yourself a little big celeb, and can get, have, or rent LBP PSP, PLEASE PLEEEASE! Create a level. Even if you have objections to the (Glitchy as Sh*t) level editor, create a level. A quality level that we can be proud of. This game will get better. Glitches will get worked out. But only if there is a community and an incentive for Sony Cambridge to update. This is a group effort, and it may be frustrating, but lets all join together, and make this game :star::star::star::star::star:!2009-12-03 04:34:00

yah, i agree, we need to build a strong foundation for this thing to be as big as it was for the ps3, so if well known people started to make really good levels, without running into all of the glitches(which will hopefully be changed soon) this could be good2009-12-03 05:18:00

some have stated they wont make levels because of the glitches. I just think we need to work around the glitches for the time being, and focus on making this a solid online community like LBP PS32009-12-03 05:29:00

But we already have a good amount of the big creators, CCubbage, jackofcourse,Jaeyden, gevurah. (okay thats not alot)

We got a couple of creators new to LBP (not having the PS3, only the PSP) that could be considered in the elite as well, Lleonard and maybe OrleanKnight.

Other good creators is Morgana,Taffey, ARD,Gilgamesh, ryryryan and maybe even myself. I got something in the works of a series of mini-games using PSP exclusive tricks, but there's not enough ideas to make it into a full level yet, so its just all on paper right now.

It takes time to make a good level, and with the problems of the PSP editor it might take longer, give it some time.

I'm sure we'll get much more good creators (new and old) come Christmas.

I was going to say something along the lines of what JKthree said... we already have good creators about and it's just a matter of time before the levels pop up. It can take people weeks to make their levels 2009-12-03 12:38:00

I'm definately working hard on a unique experience for LBP PSP.... I jumped straight into something a bit more difficult and skipped the simple platforming - it won't be a LONG experience, but it will be a unique experience.

However, to reciprocate Sony could listen a bit to us and give us just a BIT more which would make a huge difference - such as:

+ Allowing more complex objects to be captured
+ Allowing flipping and copying of a single piece of material

I guarrantee these minor changes would result in much better levels.

There's nothing worse than designing a great level, building a complex object (which is the main mechanic of the entire level) and then getting an error when trying to capture it.

And, of course, QUICKLY fix the issue where unedited material doesn't shift around - which WILL give the software a bad reputation early on.

Aww, I'm not well known... I'm not a celeb (yet).

...

I'm still going to make great levels though.
And find ways around the annoying bugs (I just may be on the trail of a solution about the wobble bolt angle changes in fact).

I've got a good-sized project in the works that I'm trying to finish up by next week. It's a completely different direction than anything else I've done, but I still think (hope?) it will be fun. 2009-12-03 16:40:00

I know, no love! I think my level was worthy enough and continue to have more like that... :kz:

Hey, what about me?! Am i a celebrity? I think i am, i made VR Obstacle Course 4 (I know its not a good name, but i'm not really good with naming levels) on LittleBigPlanet PS3 which got over 1000 plays! Nah i'm joking, i don't really want to be a celebrity, i just make levels for fun.

I've never had hate mail either! Feeling a bit left out now to be honest!

I've just published my new level, 'Clambering Crawlway'!

Cambridge definitely plan to add the 'copy' feature. They are aware of the drifting bug too and it is in the process of being fixed. Unfortunately a full patch is unlikely to be released before the end of January. They are going to try and patch little bits in with the updates they release for DLC though....or so I hear

I'll send you some hate mail if you send me some? We could start up hate4hate, if there's one thing this game needs it's more haters

Even though i dont have the game yet i have came up with a crazy experence. i have been BETAing with the ps3 editer and i think i can bring an experience that will be crazy. Just hope i dont run in to too many glitches because it will be logic heavy.

On i side note if anyone makes a calculator on the PSP that would be cool you could take it anywere you went.

I guess I would say I'm not, becuase not much people play my levels.
It's more than average....
I got 50 hearts... not a lot....

My levels are great though, I used corner editor a lot and make complex stuff.
For the work I make, my game freezes a lot, but only becuase I'm working hard to make my levels fun for people to enjoy

If you have the time, search up "spark151"
and you'll find my levels

I'd prefer playing the metroid level first, cuz thats probably the best
then you can check out my other levels?
