I've always wondered this

I've always found this difficult to describe so here I go. On some of the more detailed level I have seen Objects which have been made to match the exact outline of a sticker placed on them (Eg faces or body parts). I've always wanted to know how to do this? The only way I can think of it is through tedious and extensive use of corner edit tool :/ Thanks Pete1991:hero: | 2009-12-02 00:16:00 Author: Pete1991 Posts: 225 |
it is through tedious and extensive use of corner edit tool :/ yup wish there was a tool that cut all unstickered material on that shape. | 2009-12-02 00:18:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 Posts: 1924 |

Keep in mind that if you take away too much, you don't really chop the sticker. You can either move that back via the corner editor (my favorite tool) or actually draw it in a bit with one of the material tools if for example the shape helps out. The corner editor just takes quite a bit of practice. I sorta nudge it with my thumb and add points as I need them. Sorta like working dough to the edge of a pizza pan if that makes sense! Good luck!! | 2009-12-02 00:21:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Thanks you two, looks like im gonna have to practice on my thumb twiddly-wilddling skills Pete1991:hero: | 2009-12-02 00:24:00 Author: Pete1991 Posts: 225 |
Remember that you can make a new corner by clicking against the edge of the shape your editing, that helps a lot. | 2009-12-02 00:24:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Also I do agree, a sticker outline remover tool would be very handy and save alot of time, could be an idea to pass on to MM if anyone has a way of doing that? EDIT: Wow this is hard, I wish the purple fuzz isn't so prominent so you can actually see where you're placing the corner Pete1991:hero: | 2009-12-02 00:26:00 Author: Pete1991 Posts: 225 |

You could always change the size of the sticker, and the color of your pop-it. You mean like edit it whilst large then just decrease the size of the sticker to hide small missed parts? | 2009-12-02 00:47:00 Author: Pete1991 Posts: 225 |

THERE IS a cut out tool coming. Media Molecule already talked about that some time ago. About the topic itself, I do make the sticker huge and I simply cut around it. I don't even use the corner editor. . | 2009-12-02 05:37:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Thats exactly what I use to do, I would make the object the sticker is on really big and use any material to cut it out without the corner editing. It help a lot, but for those small tweaks you might want to use the corner editing tool. | 2009-12-02 22:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
That's how I do it too. Just make it huge, then when you shrink it most of the little imperfections aren't noticeable. If while your cutting out the shape, it gets 'too complicated' you can either: -cut out a piece of it to make it smaller, or just shrink the entire thing a bit. | 2009-12-03 11:57:00 Author: TripleTremelo Posts: 490 |
