Two suggestions

Archive: 13 posts


1) NPC Sackpeople. Basically, a non-playable sackperson that can talk to you and have basic movement
Tweaks
Movement: (Still, Walk Back and Forth)
Speech: (What it says)
Costume: (Pick a costume from your My Costumes page for it to wear)

2)Player Specific Checkpoints. For example, Imagine you have a level where the two players are split up into two sections. if anyone dies, they would appear at a checkpoint in one split section and would be unable to do their part. sucks right?
having a P1,P2,P3,P4 specific checkpoint that only a certain player could respawn from would be great
Tweaks
Player: (P1,P2,P3,P4)
Lives: (Normal, Double Life, Infinite)

Really that NPSack (easier to pronounce.....) is a really awesome idea! It'd also clear alot of cardboard from some levels ;b. But! I think that this creation would take up a MASSIVE amount of Themospace, therefor making it useless.. Somewhat useless.

If, though, LBP finds a way to make this, in a thermo-friendly way, it'd be really cool to see in another cheese (update).

^^ maybe if it just stood there like an object (eg. a boot, a egg.etc) that didnt do anything besides speak it would be more thermofriendly

Yea; But that would make it be like a well-rendered cardboard thing, with stickers on all sides; which isn't that cool.

It should atleast be shrugging once in a while, sit down, yawn etc. just as our own sackboy(s) does it. But that wouldn't really be TF...
Mm, work this out for us, tell us how this would work; if it ever were to work!

NPCs would take away from the actual creation side of the game so i dont think that is a very good idea personally but the player specific checkpoint would be nice.2009-12-04 13:15:00

Depending on what your requirements are, I can create a filtering system so that there are two players segregated into two areas on the screen. It's a little clumsy but it is doable. There's a thread on it somewhere here - I'll see if I can dig it out later.

Imagine a zombie survival level where you have to shoot computer-controlled sackboys in zombie costumes

But the player-specific checkpoints are a great idea. Kill your best friend levels and two-player levels like industrial assistance would be great with it
