Bolts and Pistons...

Archive: 9 posts

I'm looking to have a piston move a platform up and down while a sprungbolt shifts the platform back and forth, is that possible? or am I looking at it wrong?2009-11-27 00:04:00

Should be possible but you can't do it with just one platform piece. You'd need to make a thin layer to bolt the actual platform to to get it to wobble back and forth then connect the piston to the thin layer to get the whole thing to move up and down.2009-11-27 00:07:00

Check CCubage's thread and you'll see that create mode is useless at the moment if you want to use anything with logic or complex movement. Until they fix it it's not worth wasting your time.2009-11-27 00:09:00

Trust me, I know this first hand, third time running and thus third time creating, it seems to be holding steady for now and there have been several levels with sound logic thanks for the idea, Morgana! It seems so simple....

Just came across another problem, seems that the bolts slip and don't work as expected... when I want an object to go clockwise it goes counterclockwise.. Maybe it was how I connected it yet still quite unusual...

I enjoy this game a lot and when there's a will there's a way... I'm enthralled with the swinging ropes!

Did you check the "tweak" options? You can adjust the pistons to stiff and the direction of a motor bolt.2009-11-27 06:32:00
