A City in the Future [3D]XVoodeedooX http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz49/xvoodeedoox/APhoto_4-3.jpgA beautiful 3D neon landscape, topped with realistic visuals depicting the near future. all I wanted to do another detail experiment like my Island in the Sky video but decided to try out 3D. I thought I did a good job, and though it was a chore to make towards the end I'm glad my friends liked it. :] I've recently added in a jetpack available to people who found/own the "Can I punch you?" sticker. Here are some pictures! [I took a lot more and better ones but I can only fit in 5... weep...] | 2009-11-26 22:11:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |
Looks fantastic. Great 3D design work. Must have taken you ages. Oddly enough your idea of the near future is roughly what the world looked like to me for most of the early 90s - now if only you could get an Aphex Twin soundtrack on there to go with the logos... *applause* | 2009-11-26 22:36:00 Author: Ozmosis23 Posts: 24 |
Well, I must say that it would seem as if you put a lot of effort into this, as it is stunningly detailed and visually pleasing. Nice work! :star::star::star::star::star: | 2009-11-27 01:02:00 Author: Hibbsi Posts: 203 |
Just finished it. That was simply amazing, I didn't even know anything like this was even possible. | 2009-11-27 01:26:00 Author: TallMike101 Posts: 10 |

The songs were Polynomial C and Isopropanol, I believe. For some reason I can picture riding rocket cheetahs to them, lol! | 2009-11-27 03:54:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |
Spectacular level, and congratulations on filling the cool pages with something good for a change You seemed to set out to achieve a gbeautiful, neon, futuristic landscape, and you did an enchanting job, but I feel you could've added more. The lights in the dance building were a good example of some good platforming that didn't interrupt gameplay, which I thought you could've added more of. You're like gyuugo on acid. Very nice job on the visuals. I didn't find the jetpack so I'm gonna check back. Now go make a future version of this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYgO-lBbd8Q) level. | 2009-11-27 10:59:00 Author: Kipmonlin Posts: 251 |
I remember this, almost passed out looking at it. lol but I was sick. It's NEONTASTIC!!! | 2009-11-28 03:40:00 Author: PurpleAddiction Posts: 119 |

Haha I didn't even know who Gyuugo was until one of my friends showed his city level to me while I was working on mine :S And yes, I can see how it'd be like him on acid XD And about that level, IT LOOKS TOO HARD OMG HOW DID HE DOO THAT *ahem* it um... I don't have the time! lol jkjk | 2009-11-28 05:39:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |
It looks wonderful. I don't know how to do the 3d look but it had to take you forever to finish. i <3 it. | 2009-11-28 05:50:00 Author: Sputnik_15 Posts: 17 |
Very nice! This level looks really good.... couldn't help thinking "would be killer if there was little mini games in the different areas". Maybe think about it - you have a real talent for visuals and detail, but if you also build a few intriguing little games into areas it will be more memorable in the long term. | 2009-11-28 15:41:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
It's a beautiful level but I really wish there was more to do, you basically just walk across and do nothing. But I do love the visuals so I gave it 4 Stars and a Heart. | 2009-11-28 21:24:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
Funny/original-ish for the visuals, but thats about it. Why not try unrealed or 3dsmax for enviroments? you might like it a lot! | 2009-12-02 18:21:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
This was really well done as far as visuals are concerned, but as others have said. I really wish there was something to do. Maybe even a minigame like CCubbage suggests, though I am sure you were up there in thermo. Really great graphics though!! So maybe another level like a survival challenge or minigame that has a segment of this type of stuff as your background. Good luck and keep on creating! | 2009-12-02 19:47:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |

i HAVE play this for a long time, and it is a great VISUAL level =) but for me it is not much gameplay, but a awesome city of course. 4 Stars from me | 2009-12-05 20:18:00 Author: Jiri Posts: 56 |
I thought that the 3d was very well done. I also thought that it was a very pretty and detailed level. However the level was very bland gameplay wise. Add in a couple of minigames and such would be beneficial to the level. I gave it 4 stars and tagged pretty. | 2009-12-05 20:21:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
It was amazing as always, but short...as always. (Does making things in 3D take up that much thermo space?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZFgUmxXRYI | 2009-12-05 21:16:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
