SERIOUS problem needs a SERIOUS solution

Archive: 8 posts

This is a message for Sony and all it's little departments..

I recently was playing my little big planet (3rd time redoing the game after the bug) I decided to play around in my pod, make up a couple of costumes, really spruce up my sackboy's pad...

I was comming back from my break at work when I put it into sleep mode, now I thought nothing of it since it was the day before thanksgiving and I needed to focus all my attention on my work, so I did. On my way home I noticed my psp had shut off, I thought it was a bit odd since I always put my psp into sleep mode instead of shutting it off.. It loaded back up, my lbp loaded back up and once again when it went into sleep mode it froze and crashed.

It did this about 3 times before the system started acting wonky... when I restarded LBP loading screen was there to which I waited for it to finish then durring the intro I closed the game out with the pspmenu button yet that was in japanese, it closed out, froze then I got a blue screen of death..

The BSD decided to say in multiple languages that my system had been corrupted and to restore it hold O so I did and it restored my factory defaults..

I've never had ANY problems with my PsP 3k in all the time I've had it, the software is reliable (the hardware, not so much... been through 3 systems so far cause of the screen failing... thus far) I have had more problems with the game making my system unstable then anything else before...

I beg of sony and all of its departments who are working on LBP to fix the stability of the game... I lost interest with Sony after the Everquest Fiasco and am losing interest now, it took the PSP to bring me back to Sony and thus far LBP PSP was my first romp into LBP and I had put the PS3 and LBP as well on my xmas list

I've decided until sony can fix this issue with the game's instability I'll be taking the PS3 off my list.. I'm not just one unsatisfied customer, I'm one of thousands who are fed up and right now sony needs everything possible.. I think it was rather dumb releasing the PSN version of the game to appease the masses instead of fixing the problem first or at least putting more people on this problem...

If this is intended for Sony, you should post it over at the Playstation forums (and/or email them directly) if you haven't already. Sony don't visit this forum AFAIK.

This is the first time I've heard of these issues. It sounds much more like a hardware or memory stick issue than anything to do with the game (unless they seriously messed up, but then we should be hearing a lot more about it).

There's a lot of info over at lbpworkshop about it, tho don't worry it's a word of mouth thing..

It's caused by the game being unstable, it crashes my system due to the create mode being flawed for whatever reason. Yea know when the game tells you to not remove the memory card or turn off the system while it's working... well LBP PSP does just that (freezes the system durring loading) making the PsP unstable and causing the errors I got..

I see, so if the game freezes during loading the savefile goes bye bye. That's rather troubling. :eek:2009-11-26 21:43:00

third time restarting, the second time I made a backup but the backup didn't save properly so I am going to redo the game, play it a bit then refresh it from a copy from my comp and see if that works..

On a brighter note, the story isn't dull at all the third time around!

Try copying the install data too. And see if that works if it happens again, When I accidentally deleted my install data, i had to start over, even though my save data was intact2009-11-26 21:50:00
