(think socrates...)

I'm new to the LBP scene and my only venture thus far has been into the amazing if not frustrating world of LBP PSP. I've got tons of ideas and I'm going to create as soon as my system stop's being unstable!

I'm a long time comp player, the newest console system I have is a gamecube (I know!) I have a DS lite and PSP 3k I've loved little big planet so much that I put a ps3/lbp on my list, tho events as of recent have caused me to rethink my purchasing power..

I go by Ramnok on the PSN so if you see my levels, do download them and tell me what you think!

Welcome!

Its extra hard to do the PSP if you've never done the PS3, since you need to work around some of the problems which is trouble for 1st timers. Definetly check some of the PS3 tutorials so you can get a better understanding on what to do in create mode (since they are both almost identical)

Yes, yes I got that before I clicked on the thread. I came in here to compliment the user-name, in fact ... but now it seems that is no longer necessary.

Anyways, welcome - look forward to seeing your work.

Thank yea, thank yea! the editor is a bit "user-friendly" pardon the pun but I picked it up quite fast, am working on a level currently but I've found many problems in the designs of certain aspects.. the PSP's version is a bit cranky... Logic doesn't seem to work as intended but I'm working around it!2009-11-27 03:47:00

Welcome! Glad ya made it!

...yeah, I have been contemplating getting a PSP, but figure I will wait as I think it would be more frustrating than it's worth. If I already owned one, then the LBP purchase for it would be a no brainer.

I hope you can eventually get a PS3 and LBP as it is just incredible what can be done.

..at any rate, again welcome and let us know if you have any questions!

Have fun!

So I'm interested... do you pronounce it Sack-rateez or do you go by the Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure version of Sack-crates? Because the latter is what I thought of on seeing your username...lol! That was a funny movie!

Anyway, welcome to LBPC! My advice to you is this... GET YOURSELF A BLUMMIN' PS3 FRIEND! No pressure of course... but for me (and many others) the best part of the LBP experience is sharing the fun with others - showing off your level creations, playing others' levels and sharing costume creations, plus playing online with other pals is just the best. Honestly, you will not regret it. But in the meantime, enjoy your PSP

See, in my opinion if you own LBP psp before the PS3 version you will not complain about the create mode as much as we love to do.
You don't have to learn how to create with restrictions since, as far as you know, there arent that many since you can't compare the 2 versions.

That said, once you get a PS3 along with LBP a whole new world will unfold before your very eyes!!

Ps: Welcome to the forums, Sackrates!!

Welcome to LBPCentral. Like me I'm sure you'll find this to be one of the friendliest and helpful online gaming communities anywhere. The Mod's and CC have done a great job keeping this site going. Make sure to check out the SiteGuide (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=p=81138#post81138) to get familiar with how things work around here. Also make full use of the User Control Panel (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/usercp.php) so people can get to know you. The UCP is full of helpful tools and apps. It is where you fill out your profile, bio, add people to your friends list, create photo albums, create blogs, send and receive PM? the list goes on. Take advantage of it.

At the risk of sounding like shameful self promoting check out my blog. Little Big Planet: A Social Experiment (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/blog.php?b=822) I think it captures the spirit of this website. (To all the veterans... please let me know if this is too off the wall and I will remove it from my welcome speel)

Make yourself at home and welcome to the family!
