Sandstorm!

Archive: 12 posts

Well, here's about 30 hours of messing around.

An Egyptian themed platform level. This is my first entry into the world of LBPSP. I kind of like it and it was acertainly a learning experience to make. I do hope we start to see more like this from the community. Create is not perfect...but it's mobile and that's a good thing for us junkies on the go! Hope you like it. I haven't made enough prizes to fill the bubbles I have, but I'll try to get em all filled soon.

There are two ways to finish this level...can you figure out the cool way?

Ok - checked it out and I have to say it's the longest and most sophisticated level I've played online so far..... ok I've only played two but it's still good

Thought the landscapes were really cool and only had some minor layer switching problems, but I think that's more a commentary on my skill at this point versus your design. The smoke/sand effect is neat and I liked the pyramid shaped fire. The sticker use was whimsical and fun too. The first time I played through I wasn't exactly sure how to get rid of that star obstacle but I eventually figured it out. Also the launch thing at the beginning completely eluded me the first run through. Found it the second time. I did notice two things I'm not sure if you did intentionally or not. First one is in the area with the headless scales guy. The back layer isn't deadly with gas until your next to the blocks on either side of the statue. The second thing is I think one of they haybales/blocks is attached to the thin coin pyramid at the end.

I'm not sure I figured out the "cool" way to finish but I did have a lot of fun with it. 5 stars & Hearted - got the creator one for ya too so I can find you easier Nice work for only 30 hours! Thanks for the experience!

Yeah funny thing about that "glitched" gas. You can actually switch planes into and out of it...but once you hit the edge your dead. And yup your right about the hay bale and the single layer gas...I'll fix. You may be the next Silver on the PSP Morg. You found almost all the holes in one shot. Thanks for the play baby.2009-11-26 11:03:00

Pretty cool level, this is quality stuff.

It was a bit obscure what to do at the pyramid and star bit though, I would put some kind of hint in there (unless there was already one and I totally missed it). I thought the inverted platforms were really ingenious, but is it actually possible to get the bubble underneath without dying?

Also, I collected all of your objects, but a couple had no icons for some reason (I believe one was a cloud, and the other was a pile of gold coins).

Good stuff, :star::star::star::star::star: and ♥'ed at the next upload.

Hey, you finally finished Morgana's your level. Nice job! Wish I had the game so I could check it out. It'll be one of the first I play when I get it.

Hey Jaeyden,

Wow. That level was riveting. I nominate this for the first PSP spotlighted level if there was one! I must admit, I was nervous about the future of this game when a lot of creators were complaining about create mode, but if a level like this can be constructed with the presence of bugs, I can't begin imagine the potential of other levels when the bugs are fixed.

I loved riding the vehicle and your use of the gas glitch. Very well done. I applaud you: I know this is much more difficult than PS3 create.

Five stars and a heart. Hope to see more levels from you soon!

LOL - well Jaeyden finished first so I guess his is the "prequel". I want the music from his level for my regular PS3 level though!

@ Jaeyden - Silver has big bug finding shoes to fill but I'll do my best. I did play an awful lot with him and picked up some tips. Hope I do him proud.

Give me some time and you'll see for yourself Glad the quality levels are finally springing to life in the PSP Community

Just as soon as i figure out the cool way. Might as well do it in style Wow I'm surprised that trick works on the PSP version!

Its a ready! And I found a way to leave the level, its simple enough to fix.

Total awesomeness here. I love this level! You are tied with Ryan for the best community level I have seen yet. The atmosphere and decorations are excellent, and the gameplay is a lot of fun. Your flipped-over platforms are ingenious. It was a little unclear what exactly to do, but then again it was great fun poking around until I figured it out.

I didn't have many problems at all with this level. The star key was a little obscure but to be honest I wouldn't change a thing. The gas glitch really adds a nice look all around. It's refreshing to see some quality stuff pop up on the community moon now.

5 stars, hearted, and a creator heart too.

It took me ten minutes before I realized I was not supposed to jump over that electric star near the beginning. 2009-12-02 21:41:00
