my issue is that my Chatbox doesnt update until i refresh, this may seem mediocre but when im writing something on say a role playing thread its rather annoying... it only seems to not work with some people though, but sometimes it doesnt work with anyone has anyone else had this issue and is comet chat aware of it?

Dang yeah I have this issue! Let's say I'm chatting with a friend and i'm waiting for an answer to my question, but the answer just don't come out. So I'm asking, "Are you there?" But again, I can't see if he's still there... so I look like a dumb... sometimes.

I've recently re-coded the way CometChat works over at MNRCentral, and once I get back home (I am in San Diego at the moment, for Thanksgiving, and I am without my PC) I plan on extending that to LBPCentral. That might fix the issues you guys have been having (I hope). I'll let you guys know when the changes have been made.

I'm just wondering - does the number of people online affect the lag of cometchat? It was going reeeaaally slow today, and I noticed that there were quite a few people on at that time. Thanks.

Alright, the changes have been migrated over. CometChat now works on our homepage as well, which it did not before. This required tearing out a big chunk of what CometChat is and rewriting it, but it seems to work much better now. Let me know what you think.

Chat keeps clearing for me.. Can't post anything and see it. I see a flash of a response, but that is it. Using firefox 3.5.5

Same thing here jww. Firefox 3.5.5 and I get a blank chat window as well. I just checked using Safari too and it's not working either. I get the box to pop up but no text.
