WTF Is This?!?!?!

Archive: 5 posts

So I was working on a level for about seven hours, I placed a piston at the end, everything literally flew apart and got all disoriented, so I just returned to my pod, giving up on my level for a bit. About an hour later I went back to it to try to fix everything (pfft), and right in the middle of loading the game froze, and then after about ten seconds my PSP crashed. I thought nothing of it, and decided to play some story levels for a bit. However, right in the middle of loading a story level, the same thing happened - it froze and crashed. It's done this every time since, and I can't even play the game T-T

WTF SONY

OMFG *cries*
THIS TOOK ME FREAKING FIVE HOURS TO INSTALL ON MY PSP, AND THIS IS WHAT I GET?

It must be a real pain, for everything to fall apart then not even loading any levels at all.

Let's just hope that Sony finds out about these problems and fixes them. Didn't LittleBigPlanet on the PS3 have big problems like these when it was released last year? Media Molecule fixed most of them, Sony will likely try to fix these problems to please everyone, Media Molecule fixed most of the problems in LBP, and are already trying to implement Water in LittleBigPlanet PS3.

That sucks, but remain calm. I am confident we can fix it.

1) Hook up your PSP to your PC and copy your entire LBP save file folder to your computer. It should be called UCUS98744PROFILE or something similar. Just grab the folder and drag it onto your desktop or somewhere else convenient.

2) Confirm that the folder copied correctly and that it has contents - there will probably be over 50 files. Open one of the "ICO" files (it's a picture) to confirm that it really is LBP data.

3) Delete LBP and the update data from your PSP.

4) Download LBP to your PS3 - this should only take about 20 minutes.

5) Copy LBP to your PSP - this should only take about 3 minutes.

6) Update LBP on your PSP by selecting the 'update' option from the XMB.

7) Launch LBP and play through the intro. Just keep running to the right until you reach the end, wait through the voice over intro, and once you are at the level select screen quit the game. This will have created a new folder on your PSP that is the same name as your old one. If your old save data folder is still there, it will be wiped clean.

8) Copy your original save data folder back onto your PSP. Just drag it into the 'SAVEDATA' folder and overwrite the existing folder.

9) Launch LBP again and confirm that your save data shows up. If indeed you had some kind of corrupted install, this will have fixed it.

Actually, it was the save data that was causing it. I deleted that and now it works fine. I lost everything, yes, but at least I can actually play the game :l
*sigh*
