Hi Friends. I must say I am really pleased to see such site which sharing good knowledge. Keep the site as it is because it is simply the best. Color combination of background and font I like most. Speed of response also the best. No need to any changes. Thanks. | 2009-11-25 06:03:00 Author: clarkhopes Posts: 5 |

Does LBP Central have a designer on-staff? I haven't actually checked, but honestly I think that the site isn't all that great to look at. I'm assuming that forum is based on a open-source template or something, but it's too generic for my taste. From a usability point of view, the navigation menu could be much better. Links for logging in/out and searching are typically above the main nav links and to the right-hand side of the screen. I would move these links/functions to where the "Sackcast" and "MNR Central" tabs are located, and move these tabs to the left with the other tabs. That's my pet peeve: sites that have several mini-navigation areas all over the page. The links in the nav row could be more prominent (i.e. have larger text and more contrasting text color), and I'm not sure why you need to initially click on a parent link to see its sub-menu. The number of links could be reduced beyond moving the Search and Log Out links because some sub-links/sections are duplicated (User CP and Quick Links). Also, I'd move the breadcrumb trail below the nav. | 2009-12-05 20:33:00 Author: TTH247 Posts: 11 |

Our navbar works but I have to agree when you say that it is a bit too crowded and non-user-friendly. I was considering upgrading our forum software, but it's such an expensive upgrade ($235 per site - includes the integrated content management system and updates for the life of 4.x) that I simply don't have the resources to do so. I think I'd rather hold on to the style we currently have until I have made enough money through ads and donations to be able to afford it. There are so many features it brings to the table that it would be totally worth it (we could get rid of vBAdvanced and use the integrated CMS instead, for one), but this site barely makes enough money to afford the prizes and shipping costs that our contests run up, let alone such a massive upgrade. | 2009-12-05 21:25:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |

Well, couldn't you make another of those donation threads like you did to get Cometchat, or is a thread asking for 470 dollars too much to do that for or what? O_o Well, yeah, I could, but asking for that much money just seems crazy, especially considering that most members here won't want to pay for MNRCentral since they don't visit that site. I won't upgrade one without the other (gotta maintain consistency), either, so I could see that being a potential problem. | 2009-12-05 21:32:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |
