Hello from Flylies

Hello all.

I'm new here. Found this place from the mediamolecule post for the logic tech tours. Which I think are awesome by the way. I have both the ps3 and now psp version of LBP. I have been struggling with create mode, and the tour has helped me get motivated to get started. I have a mental block though, I can't seem to come up with a theme or any ideas for a level.

I also have tried to dig my way around the create mode on the psp, and find it very difficult to use compared to the ps3.

Anyways,
Hello all! Keep up the good work.

Welcome! Glad ya made it!

Wow... there is a ton of advice here in the Tutorials and Help section concerning levels. Creators block is huge, but as I always try is just close my eyes and think about things that interest me. Here are some thoughts.. what are some of your favorite movies, songs, books, tv shows? Think about some of those concepts in level form. Not really copying the movie or show... just the theme or better is just a location of a scene you find interesting. There is inspiration to be found everywhere. Start taking a notebook with you and write down some thoughts!

Good luck! ...and if you have any questions, just ask!

Have fun!

Welcome to LBPCentral. Like me I'm sure you'll find this to be one of the friendliest and helpful online gaming communities anywhere. The Mod's and CC have done a great job keeping this site going. Make sure to check out the SiteGuide (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=p=81138#post81138) to get familiar with how things work around here. Also make full use of the User Control Panel (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/usercp.php) so people can get to know you.

When it comes to creation the best advice I got when I first got here was to play some of the levels listed in the site's cool level forum. Check them out... they will provide inspiration and the creators are more than willing to answer questions if you find something your interested in learning how to do.

Make yourself at home and welcome to the family!

Hi Duvalla09 and welcome to LBPC
I was wondering how LBP would translate to the PSP... I would've assumed it would be quite a bit trickier, being so much smaller. Anyhoo, you'll find loads here to help you get inspired and then get started.

Cheers!

Thanks all for the responses. I am getting a little better with the tools. Still switching back and forth between the ps3 and psp version.

BabyDoll1970 I would say that it is definitely a challenge on the psp. Mostly for 2 things that I have found so far. There is no copy or mirror feature with the psp. So trying to overcome that you can capture the object, but there is a bug with that where if you capture your object and it is static, when you go to place it, it is now dynamic and the object falls over. I am hoping they fix that one soon.

Anyways,
Thanks, all.
