Already? Man that was fast. I'm definitely going to play this ASAP, you're levels are great . | 2009-11-21 19:40:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
Hmm I see a visual sensor switch at the part where those platform arrows make you jump. Loved this level. Was fun from start to finish. Great visuals and fun gameplay. Big improvement over the first one. Longer too! 5 stars and a heart. Keep up the great work! F4F: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=18995 | 2009-11-22 12:37:00 Author: MrTran Posts: 216 |
Oops, forgot to post back after I played. After all this time I kind of forgot what the level was like but I do remember that it was better that the first since it was longer and I thought that was one of the major flaws of the first one (or THE major flaw). Also, I really liked the design of it all. There were a couple of parts that were pretty difficult and a part where if you mess up at all you have to restart (the bomb part) but all in all it was a good level. 4 stars! | 2009-12-15 05:25:00 Author: brnxblze Posts: 1318 |
Yeah, the bomb part bothers me, but if I give more than 2, then you can blast a hole right out of the level in the next room. I guess I could replace some sponge with wood over there... I'll look at that part again and see what I could do! Thanks for the good words everybody! | 2009-12-15 15:43:00 Author: Aselrahc Posts: 185 |
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed both your Land of Crumb levels. I loved the look of the levels. Who'd have thought that sponge and wood could be made to look so charming, lol. Excellent use of stickers as well. Not forgetting the gameplay which was fun and varied. They both deserve way more plays than they had when I last looked. I can't wait to see your next level. | 2009-12-15 23:35:00 Author: shropshirelass Posts: 1455 |
I knew your nickname was familliar. I've been hearting your "Cheese in the dark" a while ago. Now I played both Land of Crumbs and it was great! I don't have much cons really, they might only feel short. Or maybe because it's good? I like how you achieve some simple yet enjoyable experience. You know, sometimes this is what LBP is about. Nevermind the breakthrough levels, never mind that new kind of never seen gameplay. Sometimes you want to relax and play a good "traditional level" I would say. Your levels there feels like that to me. It's really well done and fun. Keep up your EXCELLENT work. I hearted you as a creator since you got more than 2 levels that I like. :star::star::star::star: .5 . | 2009-12-16 04:24:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Yeah I'm pretty sure in crumb 2 there's a spot early on where a gate closes in order for some preset mechanics to take place and if for some stupid reason... like your name is Gravel... you die, you respawn in an area before the gate and thusly you can not proceed. When I say gate... I mean that rusted chainlink-stuff... might even have been electrified... check it out! | 2009-12-16 08:26:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
Well, I tried to fix the bomb area. Unfortunately, when I change materials, every other thing in the level breaks! it was a mess! It's gonna have to stay the way it is. So there. | 2009-12-16 15:37:00 Author: Aselrahc Posts: 185 |
I just went in and played this... wow, you sure know how to design a great game! Platforming-wise, this ranks up there with the best I've seen. Every part of it was well-thought-out and took some skill to complete... without being overly frustrating. In fact, there was a FEW parts where my first thought was "This is going to be REALLY difficult!" but then it turned out to just take a bit of thought. Visually, also very clean and unique style. I loved the use of the basic sponge to give it that "crumb" feel - great idea! 5 stars and a heart. I'm definately going to check out your other creations. | 2009-12-18 15:53:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
first of all.. *nervous* *gets on one knee* *opens a littlebigblack box* "will you, land of crumb... Be my lovely wife and the mother of my children?" *falls down crying on the floor* "I WANT YOUR CHILDREN!! I have been an enviroment artist for almost ten years now, So I can easily be annoyed by poor visuals.. in this case I almost had to get a box of tissue's and close the windows for a few minutes. Amazing detail, A very nice strong theme with superb lighting and to say it in four short words: "a work of art" Its actually the first time (since the lbp calculator) that I got goosebumps that I was amazed by a lbp level this much. The gameplay is just on the spot and no hickups that get in the way or make you go kill yourself. *bends down respectfully* Best level (both part 1 and two) I have played in lbp so far. 5 stars for both crumb levels, both levels hearted and hearted you as an author. My respect for you mr aselrahc! I also liked your key-vault level by the way, me and a friend kept trying codes for almost 10 minutes and not getting trough. killing the sackboy by filling in the code given at the beginning of that level.. just epically fun. I was like.. YES!!!! aww... interesting way to give someone a key. Now, if you have the time, would like to take a look at: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=19564 (level 1) or https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=p=351782 (level 2) | 2009-12-19 12:11:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
Mr. Luos, I will be happy to look at these levels next chance I get!! | 2009-12-20 16:34:00 Author: Aselrahc Posts: 185 |
Hmmm, could this be an epic level revival? Well, I've just played this level and it was pretty fun. It's very challenging and has a lot of interesting mechanisms. That slippery paint really had me scratching my head to figure out how it was done for a bit. I've recorded a video of the level: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8pwP-Yfz0E Gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3. This definitely deserves to get more plays. | 2010-08-31 05:21:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |

I wonder whats up with Aselrahc, he was such a promising creator!! . | 2010-08-31 06:52:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Thanks for bumping. These levels have interesting visuals. Just a little lighting tweak makes standard sponge look awesome. | 2010-08-31 13:15:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Asel has about 6 - 8 levels collecting dust on his moon, He is not online a lot because he has work to do.. (creating child book illustrations) But if hes online he is allways creating cool stuff in the editor.. Though.. even though I have slapped him around a few times bcause he doesnt finish his work.. I heard him say that he is waiting for lbp2. | 2010-08-31 16:01:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
Yeah, he's on my friends list and gets one about once a week maybe, but I've seen him offline for 3 weeks at a time. I still see him on LBP and I'm sure he'll be back when he has time... Either way, this is definitely a great level that's incredibly unique. Revival time! :star::star::star::star::star: and <3 -- If I hadn't already said that... <_< | 2010-08-31 16:42:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |

WOW that was a NICE level! First of all the art style is amazing, very original and beautiful. The gameplay elements were very creative and fun to play. I don't have much to improve although you should note that if you die at the beginning when you open the gate with the switch, if you die before you enter the gate, you can't go back through the gate ( you can't land on the platform... i had to restart the level. The jumping part near the end was kinda annoying but ok overall In conclusion, 5 stars, a heart and a heart 4 you! Great job and beautiful level. Hey I have played your level and it has seemed to me to be original is the first one that I see fact with the material of sponge I have liked since it is entertained, it has many c?minos, the design is graceful, really make an excellent gameplay made, I congratulate you on so good work. I have given you 5:star:?s And I would like that you were playing to my level WOOD WORLD https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=34593-Wood-world&p=602655#post602655 and were giving to me your opinion | 2010-09-02 14:51:00 Author: psyntens Posts: 562 |
I tried playing this last night, but I was up way too late, and my poor Sacky suffered a lot from my falling asleep at the wheel. I got through the first one, though, and I dug it a lot. So here I was again today, trying this one out. And here's what I thought: I really don't have anything negative to say about the level at all. The last bit with the bouncy boards got a little frustrating, but it was fun and doable. Everything about the visuals lent themselves to the aptly chosen name. It was dingy and cluttered and crummy, but beautiful and charming at the same time. Very difficult to pull off. I like pie too. Could you F4F me on Invasion of the Sack Men From Space? psn: SpeedyMcKnuckles | 2010-09-02 19:29:00 Author: SpeedyMcKnuckles Posts: 331 |
