Well, first of all, connecting your PSP to a USB cord won't charge it, so there's that problem solved. However, I don't know about the connection issues. My PSP (Classic phat 1000) won't connect to USB, either. It just flashed "Please Wait" and then for like 1/10 of a second I get the connected message before going back to "Please Wait". I'm in the same boat as TC.2009-11-20 22:01:00

I have a 3000 and I got the exact same problem. However, if you can charge that way, then fine, you don't have to get a new 30 dollar battery like I did.2009-11-21 03:55:00

well first of all if you get the please wait message and nothing else on the USB screan its most likely the USB broken not the micro USB port,

Secondly you need to use the AV output socket there is also a special USB cable that can be used with this to charge from PC or console ETC.

If you have on of these it is probably broken if it is not charging.

Try borrowing another charger from a friend or ask in store if they can help you. if that doesn't work your PSP is broken.

The USB cord I tried to use to connect my PSP with my PS3 is the same one I use to charge my controller, and it works no problem. Also, my PSP had no problem connecting to my PC, just my PS3. It worked just fine before 3.10 came out, too. Could it be that I got a bad patch or something? I've heard of it happening before.

Sorry for kinda taking over your topic, TC, but if I make a new one, I'll just get yelled at because this one is here.
