Hellooo there.

Archive: 13 posts

Hiya. Just discovered this place courtesy of stumbling onto the splendid logic levels last night. Recently addicted to LBP (when I can get the other half to stop playing Assassin's Creed for 5 minutes) and I'm currently incompetently stumbling my way through creating my first level and am hoping that this place will help me get to know the mysteries of level creation without me spending too much time bashing my head on the desk and weeping.

Apologies in advance for the many stupid questions that I'll be asking here. (Bear in mind I'm an ancient old dinosaur so you might have to Speak. Loudly. And. Slowly.)

Welcome to LBPCentral. Like me I'm sure you'll find this to be one of the friendliest and helpful online gaming communities anywhere. The Mod's and CC have done a great job keeping this site going. Make sure to check out Site Guide to get familiar with how things work around here. Also make full use of the User Control Panel (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/usercp.php) so people can get to know you.

Make yourself at home and welcome to the family!

Welcome! Glad ya made it!

LBPC is the best place for a creator! Besides the LBPC Logic Packs, there is a ton of info here in both the Help and Tutorials.

Plus you can get great feedback for your creations by posting your levels in the Level Showcase!

..and age really isn't an issue. There are creators here of all ages!

Let us know if you have any questions!

Have fun!

Thanks for the welcomes all. Had a mosey about the place and it does seem very friendly - looking forward to getting the benefit of your experience.

Gonna be quiet this evening though - can't get my hands on the console. Ah well.

My girlfriend and I purchased a 2nd PS3 due to that issue... Both of us just play LBP though. I was in create mode most of the time and she like playing with friends. ...now we have two tv's in the living room and spend most evenings playing LBP!2009-11-19 19:08:00

Welcome! Yea, age isn't a problem. Check out the 30+ thread to get an idea of how many of us "older" gamers there are around here. Quite a few really.

Check out the tutorials and help sections if your looking for help in create mode and another thing I found helpful was to play some really good levels (see the Spotlight threads) and see what other people were making. Opens up a bunch of possibilities you may not have thought of before.

Have fun and good luck getting on the PS3

Hello there, and welcome to LBPC!

If you're over 30, I like you already. If you're older than me, I'll like you even more!

Enjoy yourself and have fun.

Well, Oz, don't get too excited as it's been a bit inactive for around 3 weeks, but we obviously need some new, fresh 'old blood' : ) Check out the social groups as well... much more going on there in general. And I hear you about the console sharing, only there are 5 in my house battling it out for supremacy, and being the mother, i usually defer, but hey.

I like your name by the way. We have a surf store here in Australia called Ozmosis with the most awesome gear and clothing, but alas, also about the most expensive.

We'll see you round, I'm sure. Cheers!

Well m'dear you're gonna like me a lot - I've just passed over the great divide into my *whispers* forties. (Gawd it still hurts to type that..)

Hurrah! Although I hope that's only numerically mature - as a great man once said "what's the point in being a grown up if you can't be childish sometimes?"

Ah well it is winter - I expect everyone's hibernating. Mind you I can't even find it..

*stumbles around uselessly*

Ha ha - I actually use it 'cos it's the name of my teddy bear - see what I mean about being childish...

Hey, here's the link (I hope)

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=12534

If that fails, click on Forums, scroll down to 'Sharing the Fun', locate 'Find Other Happy gadders' and click, then scroll down to '30+years old come in here please'. And there we are : )

Ozmosis as a teddy bear's name..?? Sounds cuddly.. sort of ; )
