Alright it's 6:50 A.M. here (pacific time) and just went on my ps3 to watch some movies and well, I couldn't log in and it told me to update! Well I won't be able to update too quickly so, I need someone to find out WHAT'S IN UPDATE 3.10?

I had the update last night. I read on the release notes that the only thing was that photos on the hard drive now show up as a whole page of thumbs rather than the long vertical list. Actually kinda cool feature when I checked it out, but seems kinda strange to only be updating that. Oh well.. didn't seem to break anything!!

Tweaks to the friends list, Catch-Up TV, Facebook integration. Google it, there have been plenty of announcements about it already.

yeah you get the abiltiy to cahnge the boxes on the freinds list including shade and colour i believe. You trophy information can be updaated on facebook easily there has been a fair bit of hype over this one. Of course if you want to use facebook on the PS3 just go into the browser.

Don't know, a minute or two. It can vary a lot though and in statistical terms my connection would be an extreme outlier.

Jeez. Started downloading it about 5 minutes ago and it's still on 1% !!! That's crazy considering all it is doing is updating how you view photos and friends list and adding Polish to the languages ( I really need that ! )

People who play LBP will be required to download the update to play online, so it's very much relevant. The other thread seemed to focus on the addition of some sort of Facebook integration. Thanks for the heads up, though. ---- As for the time it takes to download, I left the house this morning with it downloading, but it didn't seem to be have the problems that some are having. I assume it's done by now, as that was more than 6 hours ago.

Thanks ARD. Just checked again and it's on 47% now. What a farce. I've tried logging in to playstation store on my PC before but never been able to. I don't know why because I put the exact same details in but it just won't have it. Weird ! I think I'll watch some TV now and leave it to it. BTW Stephen Fry is on 'Bones' tonight on Sky 1 at 9. I'll watch that and see if it's finished downloading then.

I had it today I was trying to log in the store to get the new DLC, it took me almost 2 hours to finish the update >__> heheh when it reached 50% everything went fast !! There is nothing new to it, I am not a facebook user I guess my brother will like this but I liked how the friends list looks like now :33 and also the photo gallery looks much better in a horizontal way :33

Phew, it finally downloaded. The only trouble now is it hasn't made any difference to my photos. They are still in a long line. I thought it was supposed to rearrange them in a matrix ? Oh and just as I'd finished playing pirmaut's new pumpkin level with him I was typing a message as we got to the scoreboard and he pressed continue and a weird grey screen appeared with the text box on it and the system froze completely. Can't they ever give us just 1 update that doesn't screw something else up? Is it too much to ask just to have things work properly?

Were the pictures changed? They look different, I think...but I'm not sure. They're in rows of 3 now... I think the new Facebook part is found under the PSN account management area.

Mine are not displayed in a long line, and I didn't push anything to change it, I just click a photo folder, and the photos are in that "matrix" style, in rows of 3 horizontally, going down vertically.

Just watched the video on the other thread and it appears it's only if you have them in folders already which I don't. I'll have to put them in folders sometime and see what it's like.

I think the quickest way 2 update is 2 download it using the PC and a flash drive or memory card. I update my ps3 most of the time that way because i don't have high speed at home(it sucks not having high speed i need 2 move).

Oh how wonderful, my PSN account is glitchy and it won't let me enter the profile everyone can see, so now I am the only grey stripe on my friends list, and It says "an error has occurred" and it has a ton of numbers like 800........so on ARHG! Now this update has become useless to meh this happens to me too, it says it has to 'sync trophy information' but gets to 6% and then gets an error.

Yeah, it can't handle syncing trophies during "high traffic times", apparently. If you sync it at like 6 in the morning, it works like a dream. I can only change my profile color at 6:00 am, apparently. ^_^

Did they add new symbols? Go under the symbols (ex. * & ^ %) section when you send a message, and there's a whole lot of smilies and symbols.

Downloading through PC is alot faster than downloading on the Ps3, thanks for the link ARD. Usually it'd be only at 1 or 2% on my ps3 by now, but on the pc, its at 5%.

yeah my friend has the trophy sync error thing. I used to have the exact opposite for ages i would press X on my profile it would sync so quickly i didnt even see it say that it was syncing. now it does
