The Gas Factory does exactly what it says on the tin. It features the return of the Scientist. More of his machines are malfunctioning and he needs you to find the culprit ...

Thanks for reading! I'll be doing about 10 F4Fs (I'd do more but I don't have much time) and appreciate any feedback you can give me, F4F or not.

Please check out my other F4F levels:

I thought your level was awesome and was a lot of fun to play. Good amount of challenge and some tense moments went into this level. At first I questioned this level because it's style looked to be taken from the last level's of the game's story mode but these first impressions were quickly dismissed when I delved deeper in and saw that this level had real distinction.

Gameplay:
There are some fresh contraptions and ideas in this level. What factor had me bought on this level is the seemingly complex pistons near the beginning. Not only do you have to dodge their heavy metal impact but there is also another unexpected component to them that I found extremely clever. The design and overall function of this part are defiantly worth a viewing alone.

I thought it was clever how gas or whatever seemed to seep through the vents every so often which also creates an original obstacle for the player. I think that the timing of it was a little off and maybe you should make the gas appear quicker to keep that excitement flowing. Standing in front of a gas wall loses it's appeal when it's there for too long. But it seems that the robot you placed in the first vent series, the one I'm referring to, seemed to provide enough action.

The robot was fun and I was not expecting it. maybe next time you can implement the same function but maybe have the robot shoot out something to break down an obstacle or something.

I loved the boss fight and thought that it was very original. I myself am always trying to figure out clever ways to keep the player concealed in the boss chamber and you hit it on the spot with a simply innovative way to keep the player next to the boss and not looking to escape.

There were a few corners cut on the fuse room, the player can see where the sticker didn't fully engulf the fuse. Maybe you should use more duller colors for the fuse handles. They sort of stick out in the grey environment.

Thats all I can really think of. It was an extremely lovely level and I would give it a 91% some parts felt a little off time, the obstacles that is but it doesn't rob from the overall product. The concept was very well thought up and I left you a comment and a heart on the level itself.

Sooooo.... If you would, could you review one of my "Last Day" series. Just look up my name and there should be 5 parts. One really should play them in order but I know that's a lot to ask so I'll just ask you to play 1. They get better as the series goes on and I don't think it's completely necessary to play them in order. They get really good around 3 so if you wanna skip around feel free. Give me an honest review I want to know what people, particularly on here, think. Oh and don't let the bad scores scare you away.

Have a great day and keep creating

That's quite the level you got there! I thought it was really fun, and have nothing to complain about! The difficulty was just right, so that it didn't become frustrating but it gave you a challenge. It was also a great length, and didn't become repetative.

I liked the vents throughout the level that emitted gas. I wasn't expecting that the first time i walked into them lol. The boss at the end was also a great touch, and made the level feel complete.

Visually I thought your level was awesome. It stuck true to the style of MM's bunker levels, which is an impressive feat in itself.

The only real complaint i could possibly think up is the puzzle with the jetpack and keys. That puzzle is overly done and I've seen it on so many levels that its not fun to play them anymore. I'm not sure what you could replace it with, but i think it's the only thing in your entire level that I would change!

Anyhow, I rated it :star::star::star::star::star: and I really think it deserves them.

I saw that you already posted that you would review my level The Castle of the Corrupt King. I cant wait to hear your feedback. Knowing it came from such a talented level creator as yourself makes it all the more valuable! Thanks!

Cheers for reviewing guys. I'll take on board those suggestions (particularly in the fuse room - that puzzle is definitely used a lot) and I'll be sure to review your levels ASAP ... my system update is taking ages, it's been downloading the software for one and a half hours now and it's only half done. Anyone know why the latest update is taking so long?2009-11-19 20:03:00

I'm guessing this is the level you want feedback on...I'm returning F4F. BTW why haven't you made a thread for your Monkey Business level? It's pretty good (besides the length).

Anyways, this level was really good. It needs more plays! You did a great job recreating the "Bunker" theme without using Mm objects (besides the scientist but that's understandable since you're continuing story mode.) You had a lot of great gameplay and backtracking. Sorry I couldn't give more feedback, I couldn't really find anything wrong. 5 stars and a heart. I look forward to your future levels.

Hi Holguin86.

I read the above posts and had an experience similar to FertileDecline regarding "first impressions". Thinking back though, I believe it was more based on your choice of materials which did resemble the bunker. I got over that pretty quickly though, as the game play was unique, challenging and required total focus...I enjoy that in a level. I also enjoyed the way the level progressed...it had a great flow to it and nicely implemented incremental levels of difficulty. Your sentries were nicely made and your BOSS was very cool also with the multiple stages.

There was only 1 area where I could suggest improvement for...I believe it was the last sentry (long stream of plasma balls being fired at player). As the player passes the barrier wall, there is a checkpoint between the wall and the sentry. If the player is killed, they can respawn right into plasma balls multiple times, until the arc of the balls is high enough for the player to seek cover--I lost 3 lives there during respawns of which I had no control over. To cater more to the skill level of your players, I would suggest moving the checkpoint to the other side of the entry where the player has cover from the wall that protrudes to the 2nd layer. Doing this will improve the player's experience, and you aren't compromising anything in that area by doing so--it's a Win Win.

This was a great level, as was your colored pencil level that I also thoroughly enjoyed.

Bravo! Well done!

If there is one level I have to rate 5 stars its this
Bad:
-Some parts were annoying
-Jetpack part was mostly unpleasant to play
Good:
+Everything else

Critic: I wouldn't miss playing this at any costs
:star::star::star::star::star:
F4F
I want you to know that you might have made this even better. Some singns that tell you where to go in parts like gas pipes or in jetpack puzzle would've not been bad at all. Lighting in level wasn't so good in all places like in the pipes there could have been more light. Boss fight camera angle would have been set so you know in which layer you are on. I died there few times because that. These are just those ''few annoying parts'' I put on bad list.
