Monster Survival!

Archive: 2 posts

Monster survival is a fresh new idea to the world of survival games. For once your trying to save something else and not yourself (although you do die if you fail). The aim of the game is to save some wierd looking endangered monsters by jumping on thier backs and capturing them before they jump off a cliff. The original idea was for lemmings but didn't work out. There is also a new ice edition out now! The ice edition is basically the same thing but the ground is frozen so it's a bit harder to survive.

Exact names: "Monster survival"
"Monster survival Ice edition"

P.S. I will update looks and mechanics as often as possible. :star:

P.P.S. Comments and feedback are HIGHLY appreciated. :star:

(updates will only continue as long as the players remain interested)

Hey, I just played through it several times and got a top score of 2,556. Or was it 65? Anyways, I think this level has A LOT of potential. It's a very unique concept, but there are some issues with it's execution. For example,as time goes on, it actually gets easier, because as more and more of the monsters come at you, you can simply bounce from brain to brain, without risking getting spiked. You should try releasing different types of monsters that are more difficult to kill, move faster, or something. That would also be a nice way to spice it up a bit. It gets kind of repetitive. Also, when you fail, it would be nice to see a much more epic way of dieing than just exploding. Like, release a giant, angry monster to push you off the edge or something. Overall, a nice level that I had some fun with. I'm assuming you haven't decorated it yet, but some nice decorations would add so much to the level. A really beautiful landscape gives the player some incentive to try again after they get spiked by the first monster.

It would be awesome if you could give me some feedback on my level, "The Badlands". Thanks, and good luck with this.
