Oo wow, very nice level, very colorful and fun. Great use of the stickers! Loving all the objects placed about, there very well detailed and look great.

Game play, I thought it was all spaced out well nothing repetitive and importantly fun and great to explore. Just one nit pick but don't look to much into it is you might want to add checkpoints closer to some obstacles like at the first fire jump and the train part. But the levels not annoying or has cheap deaths so it's not really a big issue.

Great level! keep up those wonderful levels :star::star::star::star::star: hearted.

Freaking awesome! Like magicpants said, excellent use of stickers and great job visually overall. I especially liked what you did with the apartments and the restaurant. This is the first time that I remember ever racing for points in an environment like that. Good job with the pacing. As soon as you get used to an environment, you end up on the train jumping section! Really liked the rolling bomb section too.

Only two things I'd suggest for the sake of suggesting. 1, the emergency generator section really kills the flow you've got up until that point. After controlling your speed the entire way, to have to wait on some lifts... just doesn't fit. 2. Before the bomb roll, I had a hell of a time trying to land from the upper section. It was probably due to my rushing and not getting a good idea of where to land, but in a race level, I rush.

Really cool stuff... and I got second place behind you (cheater! ha!)

Would love it if you could check out my level Time and Time Again. It's in my signature.

I might look into that, someone else has told me this same thing. Thanks for the suggestion .

I know what you mean. I was going to erase that generator part when I noticed that but then it said one of the parts was too complicated so I could erase from it O.o .
Maybe I should make the race end as soon as you get to the mine? What do you all think?

LOL I assure you, I did not cheat .

Thanks a lot guys, I'm glad you enjoyed! I will get to your F4F soon (LordMagicPants I'm not sure if you want F4F or not) .

I'll check it out the next time I am on, judging by the pictures the level looks pretty detailed.2009-11-18 01:55:00

Hey just played your level, its pretty good but I didn't finish it (due to tiredness and a lack of skillz =] ) The bit I got stuck on was working out how to get from the ladder onto the bottom of the bomb roll. The problem was when I tried to jump over one bomb I landed on another bomb in the background. I think this area would be better if you used only one layer as most players would naturally try to jump over the bombs. But the scenery was awesome, the gameplay was fairly unique and the lighting and music for different areas added a great atmosphere. I haven't got an F4F up yet (I'm quite new to LBPC( and this is the first feedback thingy I've done, but I might have a few levels of my own up soon.

Nice work =]

The idea there is that you have to keep moving between layers to dodge the bombs but I guess it is better to have you jumping over them. Thanks a lot for the suggestion and I'm glad you enjoyed somewhat despite this problem .

This was a lot of fun - I played through it once to get used to it a bit, and a second time to get a better score. I felt the entire level was well-balanced and fair. The platforming for the most part was fun and not frustrating. I liked the way you used invisible dark matter/rubber to prevent annoying plane shifting.

A couple things:

The clothes line... since string isn't normally grabbable, it might be nice to put a stylish "R1" sign above it to give the player a quick clue that they can grab it. I got to this part and didn't know what to do - and since its a race, its important the player understand what to do at any moment.

Inside the buildings when the walls disappear - this is a MINOR quibble - but the platforming in these rooms was a bit fiddly - such as the bathroom plane shifting while moving through. It slowed down the race a bit. I'm not necessarily saying to do anything about it - it was a relatively minor point - but that was my initial feeling going through these rooms, and a kid may be inclined to lower rate based on it (I didn't )

I gave it 5 stars and a heart. Lots of fun!

Oops, sorry about that first one. I didn't even think that most might not even notice that you have to grab the string. I made signs for a lot of these things and missed the most obvious one  .
I'll see what I can do in the buildings about the platforming. I noticed when I played it through with Jackofcourse that the platforming in the bathroom and the kitchen were pretty strange. Thanks a lot for the suggestions, I will fix them as soon as I get home. I'm not sure when I will be able to publish the fixed version though as my internet is not working at all .
WOW, 5 stars from one of my favorite creators! Thanks!

Made some changes to the level based on feedback:
-Added about 3 new checkpoints to make the level a bit easier.
-Added a sign to show that you need to grab the string.
-Changed the platforming inside the buildings.
-Made the race finish sooner so that waiting in the mine doesn't mess up the flow.
-Put less time to finish the race since the race is shorter.
-Changed the bomb roll part to only one layer so that you have to jump over the bombs instead of dodging them.
-Added some extra point bubbles in some places.

Keep the feedback coming everyone, it's helping greatly .

I like this level alot. Great fun.
I only have one niggle. I would rather the mine used something like orange wood as that rock sorta seemed outta place for the level.

I don't have much else to say.

Good job.

I tried playing this a couple days ago before you made your revisions and experienced very much the same problems the previous posts mentioned above. I didn't complete the level as I ran into a few bumps and ran out of lives but I'll definitely give it another go today in light of the changes you've made thus far. I should note the level had good flow, interesting puzzles, and overall look was creative and fun-looking. Reminded me a lot of Boomtown. 5 stars. Great job brnxblze.

I'm really sorry about that. I played the level so many times that I didn't even notice it was difficult. Hopefully there are no problems on your re-play, if there are please tell me.

Thanks a lot for posting both of you .

Ok, I've played it a couple of times now. The first time, I ran out of lives in the bomb-rolling part. The camera at the bottom of the weave-down part was not tweaked very well... I couldn't really see what I was jumping down to. The second time, I was able to get past it, but not without a few lives being lost. Otherwise, the level was great!

I loved your epic mine cart ride. I think it's the best one since Crystal Cave in Autumn!

Anywho, 5 stars! Thanks again for hooking me up with the skinny finish gate - I couldn't seem to find one!

Thanks a lot for playing! I fixed that camera, I think it's a lot easier now. I also put an infinite-life checkpoint there. I played the level so many times that I really didn't notice it was difficult at all .

Yeah LOL, I forgot to add dramatic music and random explosions to that cart ride so good thing you found it epic despite this.

5 stars?! Thanks! And no problem .

Hey! Really enjoyed this. Nice playful style to it. Most levels attempt to create a realism that doesn't quite feel the same as the creators levels - though yours did. It didn't look like a real spaghetti western type land - it looked like you'd made it out of cardboard, which was brilliant.

The gameplay was a lot of fun. You've left me wondering how you did certain parts (i.e. the washing line was grabbable). My only problem here was with the first door you enter when you go into the house, you can't see the door and don't know to push R1 to open it. Perhaps a camera angle change could be used here? Starts off like a playful spaghetti western, ends as a sequel to 'the mines' from the original authors.

Nice one!

I didn't know we were suppose to write our level play requests in post: PSN: carlnewton0 Level: Patience.

Thanks a lot for playing and for the suggestion. I will put a camera .

Also, you're not supposed to write your level play requests unless it says F4F (which mine does so you're ok ). You should read up on F4F.

Changes:
-Added 3 photobooths to give the player a souvenir of their run through the mexican town and the mine.
-Added a camera to show that you need to grab the door to the building.
-Changed the fire at the beginning of the level to be more "spiky".
-Made the background of the clothesline part to look a little better.
-Put an infinite life checkpoint before the bomb parts (something I said I would never do).
-Made the bombs on both bomb parts come slower.
-Fixed the platforms on the first bomb part to make it easier to jump from each one.
-Added a better camera to the first bomb part.
-Added some stickers at the end mine part.
-Added a different song before the scoreboard section.
-Changed the scoreboard section a bit.

Edit:
-Fixed the flaw where if you jump in the sink in one of the buildings you get stuck.
