Piston help!?

I hate these things Ok, i got a level that uses ALOT of mag switches, and i need a piston to drag a mag key past them all, activating them and making the level epic. However, a piston doesn't move smoothly, it goes slow then speeds up then goes all slow again. Can someone please help me with a setup that keeps the piston moving at the same speed, from start to end, i'll give credit in the level. Simply connect a directional input to it. Pistons controlled by directional signals do not have the varying speed effect you describe. How big is big? If you tweak it to flipper does it break horribly? Assuming answers of "very" and "yes", I'm going to propose the following: Emit the pistons with the keys on. Have a grab switch set to inverted so that it will always be moving out. Once the pistons reach the end of their run, they should trigger another magnetic switch, set to 1-shot, which will trigger the other one. Set the emitter lifetime to last as long as as the piston needs to move (plus a couple of seconds) You just need to trigger one of the one shot magnetic switches and then the whole thing will repeat for ever. | 2009-11-16 21:49:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
