The level's shortness is due mostly to my laziness. I didn't want to pour my heart and soul into this mostly because I have other projects to worry about. This was kind of a way of getting me back on track with my creating!

The level itself looks a lot better than in these pictures (darn camera tool!) but you can see for yourself!

As you can see there are two colours. This is because at the end of the level you are given a sticker which allows you to choose between a blue or yellow theme on your next play-through!

Enjoy!

Thanks for playing Offworld Colony - here's your F4F.

Just played this level and really had a good time - your description of "calm platforming" is perfect. Finally, a platformer level that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out! The soothing, 2-color theme paired with simple organic shapes really makes for a relaxing, enjoyable experience. There's enough challenge here to make sure you don't fall asleep playing it, but it is not frustrating in any way. Hardcore platformers will think this is boring, but they can go play impossible ninja challenges for all I care. For my money, this is the type of level I want to see more of. Pick up and play without having to think too much. I love the idea of being able to change the theme on your 2nd playthrough, and looking for the hidden buttons for extra points is a nice touch that gives the player some additional purpose.

There isn't much that I don't like here, so I had to put on my nitpicker goggles in order to come up with stuff for you to improve on. Here's my short list of gripes in the approximate order I came across them: Early on in the level there's a section of platform that rotates 180 degrees. You need to hop on it, then on the center, then wait for it to swing around to the other side. I could see it wobble a little when I jumped on it, making it look kind of cheap and flimsy. I'll make a guess that one or both chunks of material connected with the motor bolt are either cardboard or polystyrene. Lightweight materials make joints attached to them very weak, so all you really need to do is material change the joints to metal or stone. Beige concrete has nice corner definition and in a silhouette level like this you'll never be able to tell. Later on in the level there are a series of three large platforms that are moving up and down. The pistons are visible and really detract from the overall look you're going for - I assume that you simply missed those because there are no joints visible anywhere else in the level. The only other thing I could come up with for you to fix would be to change the switch/button type for the 3 hidden buttons. It's hard to tell if you've found a hidden button or just a normal one you need to progress through the current challenge. Maybe you can add some special lighting or distinctive visual cue (star, flower, etc.) to let you now you found one.

That's about it for this one. I loved the level and intend to replay it several more times. 4.5/5 stars (rounded to 5 in-game), tagged 'Platformer', hearted. Good stuff!

Thanks a lot for all of your points Taffey!

Sorry about those gripes. I will definitely change up the material for that section and I will also make the pistons invisible and maybe add some lights to show that you have unlocked some bubbles?

Anyways, thanks a lot for the feedback! I'll post some more on your offworld level once I play it with the new changes!

Great level! I liked the general atmosphere, and there were a few things I didn't like.

The visible pistons were taking away from the atmosphere.

The part where you dodge the gas had no checkpoint ear it, so if you died you had to go back across the jumpy things.

Those were the only things I did not like.

Whenever you have a chance to make your updates I'll be happy to play this again and look for the changes.

Ok everyone, the flaws mentioned above have been fixed. I can *hopefully* say that the level will be a bit better now

In case anything doesn't work now that I changed some things, please tell me! I'd be glad to fix it!
