Nice! I've made a similar device, but I had a little skim through the vid out of curiousity and I very much like the ability to modify the time (I just made generic 10 minute stopwatch)

I see you nearly maxxed out the therm. If you're interested, my timer was very low therm and is copyable. I also managed to get around the digit ripple effect, when multiple digits have to update at once. If you don't feel like I'm ripping you off, I may attempt to extend my timer to mimic what yours does. I need a small project to get me back into create.

But besides my shameless selfpromotion, great job there. And welcome to the forums

Oh, man! I was just working on one of these today... I suppose I now have to extend it out beyond 10 minutes, huh?

I'll be back later, I'm sure... I'll race you, rtm.

Edit: I checked it out. Pretty cool. It definitely doesn't look like it saves all that much thermo, but it appears to work! I went ahead and finished my version of it, if you want to take a look. I'll try to upload some screenshots later, but it's much lower in thermo. I think it was almost one bar over half, and I included a bit of scenery to go with it.

The carry-over lag is really the only different between the performance of our different designs. I added in the ability to add hours and minutes, inspired by you, and it increase the lag a bit. Without this, it's almost instantaneous. My version was inspired by rtm's design...

If you're interested, I just published it with the name "12 Hour LED Clock." Or, you can just find me in the comments of your level. Just curious, did your wires start to disappear since there were so many of them? It was kinda weird.

now that's impressive. Defo going to give this a look. If i'm able to jetpack around the logic also it would be beyond me i'm certain, but fascinating to see.2009-11-15 23:51:00

Yeah, I'm working on somat else right now, typing away, busy busy me. I havent' had chance to check out this OR work on my version.

Well of course your design is half the thermo, it's only doing half a day

edit - man, my copy paste skills are off today

Well, it seems that your design is superior to mine in functionality, after all. I tested it some more and found that it sometimes refuses to work properly. I think all of my logic is too closely compacted, so the carryover sometimes doesn't work. Also, the way that I cue up new numbers requires using dissolve, and adding hours and minutes works fine until I try to add a minute at the same time the clock does.

*sigh - back to the drawing board...

Very impressive. I got most of the way through making a digital clock that would count seconds only from 0-60 on my Galaxy Hill level, but I ended up deleting it because it destroyed my thermo. Yours is far superior and is very cleanly made.

lol, I tried to make a counter as my very first project in LBP, but it destroyed the thermo, and it only counted to 10. But I suppose most of the people in LBP, have an advantage over me, as I'm only 13. =S2009-11-17 03:16:00

I try to make it smaller.
