Ok guys believe it or not my mum recently showed an interest in FPS games. Now she is a total newb to games. She loves Crash bandicoot, spyro and Abes oddysee. She want's to be down with the kids as she is a teacher and they go on about it. So can you lot here think up some EASY 3D FPS games to train her up to playing COD. Thanks, Aaron.

When in doubt, hold the shoot button. Works better than you think. EDIT: I thought about it and I'd say for sure do TF2 and maybe portal so she can get used to the controls of an fps? Let her play through cod on the easiest difficulty to get her warmed up

I meant one with a story. Besides that's fast. Despite TF2 being fast, people that play it on the consoles are pretty bad (sorry to people who play it a lot on the console, but I'm just saying what I see). My friend, who has never played TF2 and is pretty bad at video games managed to get 2nd place in TF2 on the 360. The game is pretty intense on PC but I have played matches where there are so many noobs that I just wanted to make a bind that said "EPIC FAIL NOOB" for every time I killed them with the uber saw xD After playing Quantum of Solace, I can wholeheartedly agree with snrm. Yep.

Ok Quant of sol. TF2 on Pc is epicly fast dude. I dunno... I've played epicly fast and epicly slow matches... maybe the majority are epicly fast? And yeah, go for quantum. But if you are prepping her for Modern Warfare 2, why not just make her play Modern Warfare 2 on easy and move up from there? xD

well if your are on the 360, why not Halo? on PS3, I know its not a FPS but alot of older folks are into the Indiana Jones kind of stuff, so I'd say Uncharted 2, not to mention, on easy, you can't lose.

Lol halo.. PS3 all the way. But i only have MW2 on pc and the controls are alot harder and her pc wont run it. But yeh that could work. Thanks for the suggestions guys. (and girls)

I'd actually advise her to stick with games closer to what she's familiar with at first I recommend Ratchet and Clank and then Uncharted. She liked Spyro and Crash so these are by familiar developers to her. R&C is an easy-ish game with lots of crazy weapons and exploring and platforming, i can't think of a better game to give her a positive insight on the shootery genre. And then Uncharted would be great afterwards because it's very immersive and cinematic while it still has a lot of fps elements. It also smooths out the transition between enemies innocently poofing out of existence in spyro and blowing peoples heads off in some big grimey war - Uncharted somehow still retains some of it's cartoony innocence, and then you realise that you've just killed half of asia xD On top of that Uncharted 2 has the multiplayer which could sort of ease her into that area of gaming.

Your mom is an awesome teacher, it seems like. I wouldn't suggest TF2 on PC because you never know if it's going to be really easy or really hard. Any other console works.

Star wars battlefront 2 is like THE BEST STAR WARS SHOOTER GAME and it's pretty easy. I mean I let my cousin play it when he was 6 and he loved it and it was easy for him (cause I set the difficulty to easy and didn't try killing him)
