Hi everyone, New here and to LBP, just finished the included levels. How do you keep up to date with updates and new stuff? Do game updates automatically download when you start the game? TIA

yes if you launch the game and an update has been released it will tell u to update oh and welcome to lbpc

Like lbpholic mentioned, if a update is ready, it will show and download when u load up lbp, as with new download content this sites home page is really up to date with upcoming dlc and welcome to the lbpc community!

Thank you both. We just started playing some user created levels last night. Needles to say I can't wait to get of of work and home to play some more. :-) P.S. One more question, if I do the PS3 3.01 firmware update will I loose my saved games and DLC?

Welcome! Glad ya made it! ..as has been mentioned already, the game will advise you of updates... well, as long as you are plugged in to the internet and actually sign in to PSN!! We have a direct RS feed from Mm that updates here on the home page. We get all their news from new DLC coming soon to bacteria infested food in their fridge. I wish I was making that last part up!!! Other than that... lots to see and do here whether you want to find new folks to play online with by checking out Finding Other Happy Gadders, to amazing tutorials and help once you decide to start working on your own levels. You also have the ability to post it in our Level Showcase to get some awesome feedback to help you improve as a creator. There are even some great contests going on in the Community Contest area like creating themed levels, making wacky objects, sticker art, character design and my personal favorite the Caption Contest. Let us know if you have any questions! Have fun! Edit : No... you will not lose that, but it is a good idea to back up your profile on a USB drive regardless as sometimes "stuff happens" and folks have lost stuff on their moon, stickers and costumes. There is a really good thread on Backing up you data by RTM223 I think in the tutorial section.
