Soundtrack Request, Musicians needed!
Archive: 8 posts
Hey there people! I'm secretly working on another ghost of sparta level and I need a custom soundtrack that plays in the background while playing. I just want it to start at a certain moment and keep going till I reach another point. I was wondering if a talented littelbigplanet music creator could help me out, in return i'll give 500xp and i'll give you credit in the level description. I was hoping to put this song in, doesn't have to be the whole song but maybe like 30 seconds of it that keep repeating? The song contains alot of sounds like big impact and more of those technical sounds so I hope you like a challenge ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxn3gn8JDd0&feature=related 00:00 - 00:30 and then repeat Hope this is possible ![]() ~kn0 | 2009-11-13 13:30:00 Author: Kn0cked-0ut ![]() Posts: 562 |
Hello, in my opinion, the use of music in game custom music really adds for the positive details of our level ![]() Do you have an idea how you want the music to follow your character? Because it is possible to make it follow ![]() As for the music itself, do you prefer musics with a kart following them or would you prefer the switch wheel (Like OLMco?s levels) containing switches? I am yet to try using the switch wheel system, as it seems to facilitate music looping ![]() | 2009-11-13 14:56:00 Author: AlvaroShiokawa ![]() Posts: 126 |
The wheel sounds interesting and more easy for looping, anything would be great as long as you can hide it and let it play without having to do something with sackboy ![]() | 2009-11-13 15:54:00 Author: Kn0cked-0ut ![]() Posts: 562 |
the wheel thing i am yet to understand an EXACT way for us to evenly fill a whole wheel with the exact number of magnetic switches we use, so hard to do this... I guess it is an EVIL try-and-error situation ? O_o? And you know, there is a thing I wish Media Molecule would do: Let us control the size of the radius in sound objects, this way we could the music notes reach the WHOLE level, without having to use "thermo-spending" tracking devices ![]() And the sound wheel... ohh yes, to hide it could be a problem, because I think there is a limit to how much we can shrink the magnetic switches O-o... I mean, we would want to make our wheel as tiny as possible right so that the whole level space would be used for... LEVELS haha... Oh by the way, nice sig, I like DBZ too (Wish I could play Raging Blast haha, the two "Fanboy" characters (SSJ3 Vegeta and Broly) looks fun) | 2009-11-14 04:15:00 Author: AlvaroShiokawa ![]() Posts: 126 |
The wheel sounds hard to make because of the endless testing, and hiding the whole thing while it moves will be too hard so its probably not the best option.. What about music that can play while youre fighting a boss battle, that way it doesn't have to track the player and you won't have to use a wheel? Hehe, i've got the raging blast demo ![]() | 2009-11-14 14:14:00 Author: Kn0cked-0ut ![]() Posts: 562 |

And about the boss battle, this is a good idea, for I suppose you would restrict the movement area of your character so that he would still be within sound range. ![]() | 2009-11-14 15:49:00 Author: AlvaroShiokawa ![]() Posts: 126 |
Yep, im going with this idea... now i just need someone who can make it XD | 2009-11-14 17:05:00 Author: Kn0cked-0ut ![]() Posts: 562 |
If you refer to the music my friend, I think you could try doing it, remember how people say on the stuff about making custom music? Use the grid, I would recommend you using the small grid and setting each magnetic swtich as small as possible so you can place all of them in sequence... I say this of "placing one after the other without spacing, but all evenly spaced, even if one right after the other" because what if there are really fast parts inside the music, but you still want to keep it syncronized to all the parts of the music. Also i recommend you to use as few magnetic switches as possible, like one magnetic switch that connects to lots of sound notes ![]() By the way, I think I learned of another way to make the music loop perfectly, and this one might be easier, since positioning the magnetic switches on the spinning wheel like OLMco did is being too hard for me: You could use a method my friend comishguy67 did in his level ![]() Credits to comishguy67 ![]() | 2009-11-14 19:05:00 Author: AlvaroShiokawa ![]() Posts: 126 |
