I have the game!
Archive: 76 posts
Okay so my friend works at gamestop and he let me borrow it until it get's released. As of now, I've played a good 3 hours of it, and completed 2 story chapters, and I'm currently creating a level. Guys, If you have any questions about this game, ask them now! I will answer them! First though, I would like to say that unfortunately you cannot put stickers, nor decorations on your sackboy. Anyway, ask away! | 2009-11-13 04:54:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
Wowowow! Congrats... are there any new hazards? Have all the old ones returned from LBP? | 2009-11-13 04:57:00 Author: FULLGORR Posts: 245 |
Cool. although I don't have a PSP. | 2009-11-13 04:57:00 Author: applepod124 Posts: 163 |
I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but does this version have the snapshot sticker function? | 2009-11-13 10:56:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
Wowowow! Congrats... are there any new hazards? Have all the old ones returned from LBP? Nope, there are no new hazards, but yeah, all the old ones have returned! I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but does this version have the snapshot sticker function? Unfortunetly no, you can only place stickers that come with the game. | 2009-11-13 15:36:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
Is ther decorations? Also, how many main levels and how many minigame levels are in each chapter. | 2009-11-13 15:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
Is ther decorations? Also, how many main levels and how many minigame levels are in each chapter. So far, I haven't come across any decoration items.. However, some items or objects you'll obtain can be used like them. I haven't beaten the Story Mode yet, but the first level has 5 levels and 2 mini games. Also, there is no more tetherless jetpack, and you cannot change the lighting. | 2009-11-13 19:40:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
Do you have the UMD version of the game? Do you think the load times are really bad or average? | 2009-11-13 19:43:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
Do you have the UMD version of the game? Do you think the load times are really bad or average? Yes, I have the UMD version, and the loading isn't all that bad compared to the PS3. However, everytime you REWIND or FAST FOWARD in create mode it goes to a loading screen. Another note; you can not change between no grids, or grids. It has a grid by default that you cannot take off. | 2009-11-13 19:57:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
Is it Multi5? I mean the Eu version. I want to buy it from England, but i'm Italian. Thanks for the answer | 2009-11-13 20:01:00 Author: Dante95 Posts: 504 |

Is it Multi5? I mean the Eu version. I want to buy it from England, but i'm Italian. Thanks for the answer If you look at this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRatORLYKKo Around 0:26 there is a language selection screen with about 13 languages (including Italian). I can only assume this is the European version judging by the flags that are used. | 2009-11-13 20:05:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
Well I already got all my main questions from gevurah22 but when I spied this little picture on a foreign LBP video. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/littlebiggallery/images/5379/large/1_Crown.jpg That got me excited cause there's a very high chance I can recreate my signature king costume in LBP PSP. So I'm wondering if you happened to come across it (and tell me where if possible) the crown or any other costume parts that i can use to try to replicate it. | 2009-11-13 20:27:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
Could you tell me what costumization options there are for the photo on your level patches? Can you only use one sticker? Can you use multiple stickers? | 2009-11-13 22:42:00 Author: Darth J464 Posts: 343 |
Could you tell me what costumization options there are for the photo on your level patches? Can you only use one sticker? Can you use multiple stickers? You mean the Level Icons? Its one sadly and with no snapshot function, level icons are going to be bland | 2009-11-13 23:08:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
A buddy of mine that also played this game early told me that you can't copy and paste objects anymore, and when you capture your own object you create, you can't dismantle and edit it the 'captured' version, it will only delete. Can you verify this? | 2009-11-13 23:30:00 Author: Hymanator Posts: 17 |

Can you verify this? That has already been confirmed. Take a look at this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhwum_tVg0c) posted by gevurah22 - go to the 3:50 mark. | 2009-11-14 00:19:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

So ... is there no bonus content for the main version (PS3) unlocked with this? | 2009-11-14 02:42:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Based on this thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=18593), it looks like there will be PSP content unlocked via cross-talk with a PS3, but not vice versa. | 2009-11-14 03:46:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
You can only use the stickers that they allow you to choose. No custom patches. I really wish they had included some sort of editor or image import capability. That seems something that could be fairly easily added in the future. | 2009-11-14 03:48:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
I got another question. Were you able to go online? | 2009-11-14 04:42:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
good question...could you?or were the servers not ready? | 2009-11-14 04:52:00 Author: theswweet Posts: 2468 |
whats the pod like The Pod has a few options. You can go to a small pod room where you can change your costume easily, there is an option to change your avatar and another one for the News section. There is a blank hole underneath...not sure if that's for anything. | 2009-11-14 16:17:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |

Interesting... Well, at least there's always the preorder content. | 2009-11-14 16:50:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
So not even a single copy of one of the new stickers makes it onto PS3, huh? Well, that saves me a purchase at least I guess. | 2009-11-14 16:54:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |

How's the soundtrack? | 2009-11-14 18:05:00 Author: Frinklebumper Posts: 941 |
How's the soundtrack? All the tracks are excellent and there's a wide variety to choose from in Create mode. There are no Int tracks though. I have a more indepth look at the Create Mode in this thread, with video as well. https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=18591 | 2009-11-14 18:23:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
Let's see.. First of all, the pod is still there, but its a new moon. You can customise your sackboy, change your avatar, and see "My News". You can't decorate it though. It's basically an empty room where you edit your sackboy. And no, I couldn't go online, I don't think the servers are up yet. As for the soundtrack, there was only one song I liked. The rested wasn't all that good IMO. And yes, the one I liked was the one that played in the trailer. | 2009-11-14 19:13:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |

Can you share levels online? (I know, it's an obvious question, but my friend is denying it, so I need you to prove it ). | 2009-11-14 22:20:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Can you share levels online? (I know, it's an obvious question, but my friend is denying it, so I need you to prove it ). You basically upload your levels to a "community moon" where they can be downloaded by another player onto their PSP. If you and your friend have a game, you can share levels through ad-hoc right next to each other. | 2009-11-14 22:28:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |

Download only. It's basically the PS3 version, but everything was miniaturized. A perfect tool for on the go, (or if you are like me, get LBP rushes and just want to play it when im not near a PS3), but definitely not something to get seriously into. | 2009-11-15 03:43:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |

Nope, no water. Say wha? That link was to a conversation I had with someone. He said he saw LBP PSP at his walmart, and the name of his town was the same as mine, and when I asked him about it his description of the place did not match the area (he said there's 2 walmarts in the same mall area or something,) So either he's clueless about the place around him or there's somehow 2 cities with the same name in the Pittsburgh area, which i highly doubt. And what i meant on the decision was either get it a couple days early and lose the 6 bonus costumes (I could sell it when the DL version comes out and hope it adds the 6 bonus costumes, but that might not work) Or wait a couple days for a gurantee Download version and get the 6 bonus costumes. | 2009-11-15 14:49:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |

That crown is definitely in there (quite easy to get too)... you get it from the "High on Rugs" level, just for finishing the level. I'm hoping to re-create my signature costume from the PS3 version too. Here's to hoping there's some snazzy glasses in there too. | 2009-11-15 14:58:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |

I don't understand what everybody's beef is about the download thing... Level download is a good thing! In fact, that's exactly what happens on the PS3 version as well, it just launches right away. Personally I am very, very glad that you don't need to be online to play levels. It's supposed to be LBP on the go, so why would I want to be stuck near a Wi-Fi access point to play? That makes no sense at all. I love the idea of surfing the community levels and loading up my PSP with all kinds of goodness to play whenever I have a spare minute. I'll be on a cruise in December, and you can bet I'm going to grab every halfway decent level I can find to keep me busy during that entire week of having no Internet access. | 2009-11-15 16:58:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

I do actually You get it for completing the level, 'High on Rugs', which is the last level of the third curator area. The message you have entered is too short. Any idea when it will be releasing on the PSN Store? Will it hit the store at midnight, or will it come with the regular store update? It should be on the PS Store the same day as it hits the shelves in their respective regions. Generally in the late afternoon of that day... (I'm going off the recent release of GTA:CW for this - same day, but later on in that day for the Store release). | 2009-11-15 20:43:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |

Like mnimmo1986, I'll draw parallels to other recent significant/epic PSP releases: Gran Turismo and Grand Theft Auto. US PSN Store updates typically go live at around 5pm PST every Thursday. GT PSP was due out on October 1st (also a Thursday), so I was expecting it to be available at the usual time. Just for grins, I happened to check the PSN Store the night before (September 30th) at about 10pm PST and there it was! They may have published the game early to help ease demand as part of the PSP Go launch, but nobody can say for sure. On the other hand, LBP PSP is being released on a Tuesday, which is a non-update day just like Grand Theft Auto. GTA was available in the early afternoon that day, around 3pm PST, but it did not show up in the "new releases" section. The only reason I knew it was there was because of Sony's Twitter feed and the PlayStation Blog. To summarize my rambling and seemingly pointless post, I am betting on an early afternoon (PST) publish for LBP PSP on the US PSN Store on Tuesday November 17th. There is also a chance that it will show up late in the evening on the 16th. It may show up on the front page of the PSP PSN storefront, but on the PS3 PSN storefront you'll probably have to dig for it. | 2009-11-15 20:55:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
What? No, wait... ...what? Gah, forums don't include previous quoted posts... I was saying that where you said about the PSP crown, it was in a totally separate thread and I didn't know you already posted about it elsewhere. | 2009-11-15 20:56:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |

I picked up yesterday (UMD Version) at BestBuy in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. I was caught a little bit off guard cause I had it in my head that it didn't come out til about December 10th, it was great to get it early. I've been playing through the single player alot, highly creative levels, mini games, visually it looks great, control wise it feels tight the only change Ive noticed is you now hold down the "L" button and use the analog stick to rotate/ resize the stickers. I tried create mode abit last night, I had it crash once without warning which shut off my PSP, restarted fine but still kinda scary. Also it looks like the only way to cut shapes diagonally is with the corner editor (a little disappointed with that) I'm very visual in my creations, usually unmatched in replicating Starwars vehicles, WWII Tanks, buildings, movie based creations, ect; If anyone figures out another way please let me know! Not alot of stuff published at this time, most of it seems to be pretty amateur stuff, played one that was "A Simple Race" 2 cars, with a city background, with start/finish racepoints... thats been about the best I've played online, downloading levels to play them isn't a bad thing, if you don't like them you can delete them at anytime or keep them (dunno how many you can save, probably depends on how much memory you have) also the downloads have been pretty small in size (a few hundred KB's) and very quick to finish. | 2009-11-18 21:29:00 Author: CloudStrife_ca Posts: 57 |
