How many people have you...

How many people have you converted into buying a PS3 by saying LittleBigPlanet? Or any other game? About 2 months ago I was so close into getting my friend to buy a PS3 cuz it was going to be slim and very cheap, but alas he bought a 360. BUT last week I got a different friend to switch from a 360 to a PS3. Now look I'm not a fanboy or anything it's just I don't have a 360 and want some more real-life friends on it. So how many people have you converted?2009-11-12 16:01:00

Grr! My friend who has a 360 was thinking about buying a $1100 dollar guitar and he still had about 400 bucks left over! I told him to buy a ps3 and Little Big Planet and he thought about it. He said that Little Big Planet would be the only reason he would get a PS3 because he has played it at my house and loved it. Other levels he played were MGS4 and Killzone 2 but sadly they didn't spike his interest. Well, he concluded that he would not buy a ps3 because he hardly ever plays video games and he sucks at them.

I mean SUCKS. I tried to convince him that Little Big Planet was a noob friendly game... until i witnessed him attempt to complete Subterranean Setbacks... oh sweet jebus...

And so he didn't buy a ps3... Oh and I convinced my other friend to get a PS3 instead of crappy seats for Metallica for his birthday... he got both

Well, like...a few years ago we were talking. One of my friends seemed to convince himself he wanted a 360.
When he went off, I said to the others, 'to be honest, I'd rather get a PS3'. So I did. And so did they, and the rest is history.

I've convinced people to get 360's. And if your amte hadn't managed to get both Metallica tickets and the PS3, i would say he is an idiot. I would rather see Metallica than play on a game. By a long way.2009-11-12 16:46:00

Haven't ever tried to get someone to convert but a couple of people have got ps3's after I showed them LBP.

Also personally I'd always go for the PS3 rather than metallica, never seen the appeal in seeing a band live, couple of hours of itunes library at high volume or a few years of endless gaming fun .

You can buy a games console at any time you want; you can only see that show once in your life. You could see others, but that specific show is once in a lifetime. People who weren't at that show will not see the same thing, even if the same setlist gets played. Seeing a band live is far better than sitting in a room, away from society. I like games, i would rather see a band any day though.2009-11-12 16:56:00

I agree with ir0n. Seeing a band live is amazing. Not metallica though...Muse...Senn them at Wembley and Birmingham on Tuesday night. Both were amazing.2009-11-12 17:03:00

Metallica > Muse

But your on the right lines, live music > Gaming

You could argue that eating a piece of bread is amazing because no other piece of bread will have the air bubbles in exactly the same places 2009-11-12 17:28:00

One of my friends might save up for one.

When he was over at my house i told him we should play LBP
And he just said, NO WHY DO YOU LIKE LITTLE KID GAMES!
He said that cause i have viva pinata on xbox 360
And when he started playing he liked it so much that when i said we should go outside or somthin he just wanted to keep on playing

I understand that music live is a lot better than gaming, that's part of the reason why i told him to get a ps3 xD I WAS JEALOUS

Don't judge me!

I've convinced myself. Does that count? Currently I play my father's PS3. He doesn't really play it himself. He uses it more for the blue-ray. Once there was a time when he could really pull all nighter video gaming marathons. It something we did together, but he's graying a bit now.

But I'm thinking of buying his off of him. I like his. He has one of the earlier PS3s that have backwards compatibility.

I don't play as much as I used to myself. Most of my friends are comp. game players or kind of grew out of playing video games. But I really want to play The Last Guardian and Edge of Twilight.

I'm definitely not a fanboy. I used to own an xbox 360, but I traded it in for an iPod touch...

I want to get another one though. There are plenty of good games to play.

The question for me is...do I have the time? I'm kind of busy lately I can barely find time to play my dad's PS3.

You guys have all of the luck. I've got X-bots and Wiinies as friends. So far, I've only influenced one of them, and he's not gonna buy one until, hmm- MARCH. Both sides said "Dude... seriously? That's a bummer..." when I got my PS3. I live by the PS brand, and, by God, I will DIE with it!!!

*cough* Anywho, yeah; no luck.

My cousin had a PS3 and Xbox360, but sold his PS3 when he blew through the handful of PS3 exclusive games. LittleBigPlanet changed all of that.2009-11-14 06:00:00
