The Eagle And The Bear. Part OneBombw87 The chief of your tribe was eaten by a giant bear! There is one way to bring him back to life, with the help of a great eagle. Travel to the mountains to ask for help.... all Inspired by: Media molecule, the disney movie brother bear (lol), and my personal favourite creator PSN: a-tzuluth because of the epicness of his levels. The first level out of 2. Part 2 is coming, expect huge epicness and a massive final battle between the eagle and the bear at then end. I was going to wait til they were both finished until i publish them but was too excited so here is part one. Enjoy x | 2009-11-12 14:40:00 Author: Bombw87 Posts: 126 |
That... was... AWESOME! I haven't played a level that good in a LONG time, everything about it was fantastic. The visuals, the gameplay, the story. It was just so great. When I saw the first tree come out of the ground, and the branches spring into action, my jaw literally hit the floor. I also adored the puzzle segments, which took you about 20 seconds to figure out. Which is good. That's the amount of time I like to think when playing LBP. The boss battle was pretty cool too, I loved how the spider was lead up to with the eggs that must be destroyed. I have to say though, although the sequence descending to the scoreboard was fantastic, the end didn't look like something that you could quite easily continue. It just kind of took away the from the other brilliant setpieces throughout your level. I did, however, manage to find all your dark matter and contraptions. At a large jump from a cliff, if you dropped you were supposed to hit gas, but somehow I managed to go through it, which probably means there was a hole in it somewhere. You may want to fix that, I'm sure that there will be a few more guys that might encounter that issue. To conclude, I tagged the level 'Beautiful', even though there are so many more ways to describe it. I also made a point of giving it :star::star::star::star::star: and then hearted it. I can see myself telling friends about this one. | 2009-11-12 15:57:00 Author: Bear Posts: 2079 |
wow what an amazing response thanks for that, it makes all those hours making it worth while wen i hear stuff like that and makes me want to keep improving. Will sort out ur issue with the whole contraptions u saw, gonna gas it up now haha. and yes the next level continues where it finished off, with an action packed intro hahah thank u! | 2009-11-12 16:02:00 Author: Bombw87 Posts: 126 |
Hey maybe you can add pictures or get someone else to? I'd love to play this but am currently grounded (yes, again) and I'd like to see how this level looks! Will play when I'm ungrounded lol | 2009-11-12 16:04:00 Author: iGotFancyPants Posts: 1355 |
haha yeh i do intend on uploading but iv lost my usb pen! lame. yeh get playin as soon as u can | 2009-11-12 16:18:00 Author: Bombw87 Posts: 126 |
I remember liking your other levels so much I had to play this right away and I am very impressed. Beautiful design. Your composion is great. Every decoration and sticker placed with care. The environment feels really organic and natural but with an oversized cartoony style like The Dracula Hotel. Excellent varied gamplay with new things to do that takes just long enough to figure out. I loved how the bows, axes and trees are used with a different tweak each time. I fell through the ground at some point but I couldn't find the spot again. I landed near the beginning. Luckily I didn't activate a checkpoint. Since you mention a-tziluth I'm expecting a great intro and epic boss to match what we saw in The Witch From Fire Dragon Mountain for part two. | 2009-11-12 17:42:00 Author: Kipmonlin Posts: 251 |
thanks hahah but the pressure really is on for part two now u say that haha if anyone has any suggestions or anything cool theyd like to see happen in the next part feel free to let me know im still designing and cud do with some inspiration! | 2009-11-12 22:34:00 Author: Bombw87 Posts: 126 |
I found this gem through Morgana's hearted level. Wow, this was a great little level. Your little Native American characters were cute (potentially offensive, but I'm sure that was not your intent), and I loved the atmosphere you created. The caves were beautifully crafted, and the material choice was spot on. It was long, too! Sounds and lighting were well done throughout, and the level had a nice balance between detail and plainness that you hit perfectly. I had only three small things: The second "rock launch" physics puzzle has a hidden rope on the grabbable sponge, when it should be visible. The large tree that grew from the bottom of the save near the end flung me up to the checkpoint before it had gotten very far (worked out nicely). I fell off the cliff at the end, landing on the scoreboard instead of the lift down to the scoreboard. 5 stars and a heart. | 2009-11-13 03:52:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
wow thanks! haha 1. about the invisible rope, yeh its ok i decided to leave it invisible because when it was visible it was in the way of the bow and arrow and it all looked messy and confusing. 2. will find a way to stop people falling off the cliff at the end, theres a cool part when ur in the lift being lowered and the eagle swoops down past u so u missed that. thanks for the review man! keep spreading the love haha | 2009-11-13 11:28:00 Author: Bombw87 Posts: 126 |

You are incredible creator, and your Dracula Hotel will be in my top 10 always. I have been playing and taking all my friends to your stuff all week. Keep up the great work!! | 2009-11-24 01:29:00 Author: fijski8 Posts: 159 |
WOW! This is a good level. Such a great balance of challenge, with simple platforming and puzzle solving. And the style is all at once minimalistic and complex; beautiful but simple. The arrows were brilliant. The seeds / magically growing trees were magnificent. The ride through the branches was fantastic. The catapulting rock levers were super fun. I honestly can't wait for Part II ! :star::star::star::star::star: / Hearted and tagged: Brilliant!! | 2009-11-24 05:27:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |

Absolutely breathtaking. I love the parts where the trees grow out of the ground to allow you to get to higher places, it's really well done. I actually played the level before I saw it on the forum, and finding it here was a pleasant surprise! :star::star::star::star::star: + Heart "Beautiful" | 2009-11-26 00:58:00 Author: Hibbsi Posts: 203 |
thanks u very much even tho i got the idea for the trees from the buddhists lots temple level ijus gave it my own weird cartooney twist lol | 2009-11-26 10:44:00 Author: Bombw87 Posts: 126 |
Saw this on the spotlight and played it this morning.... this level is soooo much fun. There must have been a LOT of work that went into this - the mechanics were fantastic. Every section was fun and had great movement. The only part that I could see improvement on was when you're on the lift and the huge rocks surrounded by gas was falling.... tiny tweak, but I would have liked the camera to be adjusted to see above me a bit more so I could see the rocks ahead of time and move. But that's a small suggestion, and looking back at my play experience I thought this level was fantastic. Looking forward to part 2! 5 stars and a heart. Great job! | 2009-11-29 16:56:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

Wow. This was a splendid level! It's been quite a while since i played a nice level like this. +The style and look of the level was cute and cool! +The little story was nice +The platforming was just fun. Pure good fun! +The visuals were simplistic but still did the job! +It was cute yet had good immersion! +The level was LONG! and I enjoyed every part of it. -The only gripe was the jumps with the hidden spring/wobble bolt platforms. They're a bit hard to do. But that is totally a showing of how much i Fail "^_^ :star::star::star::star:/ Brilliant/ Hearted! F4F: Are you still giving F4F? If you are then can you please give some feedback on my SIREN: The Lost World [Episode 3- Holes] (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=18012)? Will you be using Little Big Planet 2 to create The Eagle and the Bear Part Two? PS: It's not that I want u to make it with LBP2! Anyway... The Eagle and the Bear Part two is a 5/5 level. Absolutely brilliant. | 2010-09-05 18:15:00 Author: Unknown User |
