To be honest, I think there would be a few people here on this site that would be more than capable of of doing this job. They might not have the experience but they sure as hell have the passion for it!

I think you would be great at it Zwollie, if you need a reference just ask, I can say Im the head of EA or something

*sigh* I just realized, working for Mm would be the greatest job I could ever think of. The only problem is, I'd have to move away from Canada and to the UK, and mainly, I gotta get a few years older first, haha.2009-11-10 17:17:00

Actually, it sounds more like you get paid to suffer the bugs of LBP all day. Not quite as fun.

Although you would get to be the one to scream at both the testers and the developers, so there could be some fun in that lol.

If it wasn't for the fact that I would have to leave Canada, I might consider this job. Also, has anyone noticed how they're hiring more and more people? My instincts tell me something big is going down... and we only have 24h to warn the president. >.>

You get paid to write test plans AND test reports as well. So it's super fun.

*goes back to writing test plans and sulking*

Don't say you worked for Ubisoft.

It would be absolutely brilliant to have a job like this. When Ubisoft opens up its Toronto branch, I'm totally gonna try to get a QA job there and hopefully, eventually get a job at Media Molecule! That would be amazing! But then there's University... pffft, I can just blow that off.2009-11-10 18:32:00

Just a question... is all QA testing exactly like they show in the movie Grandma's Boy? If yes, then I'm so in!

"High Score...? What does that mean? Did I break it...?"

It's the perfect job actually. If you don't catch a certain bug that ends up on the shelf, you can blame the testers for not having been thorough enough, and if you do catch a bug, but it still ends up on the shelf, you can blame the developers for not having fixed it properly!

It's a win-win situation.

Your experience may vary. Jirugameshi International Inc. can not guarantee job satisfaction or permanence. Plane tickets sold separately. Some assembly required.

I'm just posting here to add to the abnormal amount of Canadians that have taken over this thread.

Hey MM. Its such a shame you need all that experience! Ive got 20+ years of platforming experience, LOVE LBP, live in England, have dreams centred around gaming, am "lovely" and would consider myself easily in the top 20 players world-wide. Also, the champagne sounds like an opportunity too good to miss I need work anyway so if you lowered the required academic standard of your testers I feel I would definitely be in with a chance. If not... Back to dreaming and suffering the world that others have made for me
long live MM

The thing about job adverts like these is that they say they want someone with all these requirements, but really that's just for their ideal candidate. Few people ever fit every requirement. So if you want to apply for it, then apply for it.

But of course, if someone else applies who does have all the experience, then chances are you won't get it anyway. But it's worth a try, right?

True words, Im currently reviewing c.v.'s for a position within the company I work for and out of 30 applicants not one ticks all the boxes. Its just a matter of finding the best suited for the position.

Although saying that the position is a QA Lead not just a QA tester, experience would be essential in this case I would imagine.

they could promote a tester lol. experience is hard to come by when you need umpteen qualifications! The uni courses in England are less than desirable, i mean, which innovative company wants to hire somebody proficient in ancient technology? not MM I reckon. Its apparent that I learn well - In the short time LBP has been out, i've constructed around 50 levels and completed a good few of the hardest in the world. I want a testing job so bad! lol I think I will go for it... get ready for... "Festerd_Tester" haha2009-11-13 08:16:00
