WOW, this level is REALLY great.
+I really liked the scenery and the gameplay was great.
+The 2x part was really original.
+I enjoyed looking around for all the hidden point bubbles.
-There are a couple of parts that are tough but I liked them and don't think they should be changed.
-There is one part where you pull a switch and something emits so that you can go over fire. One of the sides isn't thick enough so when you jump on it the fire still hurts you.
5 stars and hearted. How in the world did you fit all that in one level?! Great job! I hope to see more from you in the future!

Very jackofcourse style, just like you said. I shall be checking it out tonight (as I didn't have the last night).

Wow, how did you fit this much into a level? It seemed to go on for ages! There was nice, solid platforming in this one, and I liked that the theme was consistent throughout.

Minor gripes/suggestions:

The big orange block in the two-block puzzle got stuck on the platform above. It took me a while to dislodge it.

The difficulty jump near the end was unexpected. It wasn't hard or anything, but everything prior was pretty easy-going, then bam! A challenge. I enjoyed the difficulty spike, but the cool page kiddies probably won't. If I were you, I wouldn't change a thing.

Anyways - 5 stars for keeping me entertained for 15 minutes.

Usually you guys are smart enough to tell me what to do here.
I've not had alot of time to get this up and running properly and am missing the 7 day opportunity, so Should I republish this new again, as its got a very low play count, especially compared to my last level. I'm a little unhappy about it
Plus its stuck on 3 stars as some guy rated it one star straight away and It never went up much....

I'd republish it personally. It's only been up a day. Get a posse of LBPC guys together to help send it off right though. It can be insulated against the one stars for a bit if you can get a solid 5 star early on... provided it's a 5 star level, which it is. If you do republish post here and let a few of us know I'm sure you'll have no problem getting fans to help it off this time.2009-11-11 19:51:00

Yeah cheers morgana. I thought that missing two days can make a loss of near 5000 plays if done right, since it can not get to page 1 in 5 days which is quite fast. Thanks for the input

Thanks to all who have tried it and rated it.
I know it looks like a jackofcourse level but I was aiming for more a media molecule style.... shows what I'm good at!
But I take being called a jackof style a compliment as he is my favourite creator. (Industrial assistance ftw)

Played it with Mnniska earlier tonight. As the others have said the style is very much like jackofcourse' levels. That's certainly not a negative point.

Sometimes the custom switches were a bit unresponsive. By that I mean that even though you pulled them nothing happened because you had to move them a little bit further. Maybe you can increase the radius of the magnetic switch (which I assume is what you are using)
From time to time it was a bit hard to see where to go. Some hints would help there. Maybe some stickers that point in the direction or you can only see partially.
At one point the camera angle prevented us for a few minutes from moving on as we couldn't see the passage. The section I mean is in the last of the picture brnxblze (what's your name supposed to mean anyway? BronxBlaze?) posted. If you shift the camera angle a bit it might be easier to see where to go.
What I thought didn't look very good was the thin layer in front of the moveable blocks. They would in my opinion look better if you just stick the LED onto the block, without the thin layer.

Good level all in all (the 2x was cool). Only a few minor niggles.

Thank you, I will try to sort these out. I kinda needed the thin layers on the blocks though, well on the small one to prevent it from falling down the steep slope. As I have a thin piece of dark matter to stop it from going down. I just have it on the second one to make it look balanced. Thanks2009-11-14 23:03:00

I really enjoyed the gameplay ideas and visuals. I can see you were heavily influenced by jackofcourses levels. I havent finished it yet as the second bungie cord section was too slack resulting in sackboy being burnt alive before I could swing to the safe area. I didnt have time to play through again full when you published again new so I will try it again now that you have made the alterations to the settings the next time im on.2009-11-15 15:42:00

I just played this.... I noticed it sitting next to me in cool pages .

Man, this level is SOOOO polished and nice... I agree with everyone else that it seems inspired of a JackOfCourse level. Not a copy of, mind you, but the same clean style with well-chosen materials.

I can probably tell you (although I know it's a bit late in the game...) why it is not receiving that many hearts.... it's the spinning rocks you have to jump over. They aren't that hard, but for a child the size and shape of them could be extremely tricky, and they may give up in this area. I personally thought they were fantastic, and I'm not saying to change it.... but sometimes with the audience of LBP you have to choose between interesting and challenging gameplay... and higher ratings/hearts.

One other area, the spring jumps, could also be a bit of a culprit - many kids just don't have the knack for spring jumping.

But I wouldn't call it a downside - I really enjoyed that part, as well I enjoyed the whole level and thought it was brilliant.

5 stars and a heart!
