Is that just for the 8800GTS graphics card? If so... seems very expensive to me... :S Though I don't know US prices so good.

http://www.amazon.com/PNY-GeForce-SLI-Ready-Graphics-VCG88GTS5XPB/dp/B0011397Z4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257638934&sr=8-3

That seems similar to yours maybe? But $60 cheaper... :S

A cheaper option could even be this:
http://www.amazon.com/PNY-XLR8-PCI-Express-Graphics-VCGGTS2501XPB/dp/B001UHYRAG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257639414&sr=1-1
Which I think (don't know nvidia cards so much... more ATI) is better, and has double memory.

Cheapest option is ATI though, and the 4000 series is very good value for money.
Such as this:
http://www.amazon.com/XFX-HD487AZWFC-Radeon-4870-PCI-E/dp/B002K9ITCU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257639596&sr=1-1

That 4870 is very powerful, their second newest one currently out. I have the 4890, and it runs every game at max no problems (unless the game is terribly done like ARMA II).

Though with such a powerful graphics card it may no doubt be bottlenecked by your processor and RAM. Ideally, a dual 2.6Ghz (quad if you can afford!) processor and 2GB (4GB isn't too expensive these days) RAM is a good start.

To give you some perspective of how I run everything at max with no problems, I have Quad 3.0Ghz (Overclocked to 3.4Ghz), 4 GB RAM (looking to upgrade to 8 even though it's not needed really ) and the 1GB ATI 4890 graphics card. Though in all honesty, if you can run a game at medium with no frame rate issues, that is usually the equivalent of how it would look on a console if the game is on it. AKA - medium is settings still look good, and at the end of the day it's about gameplay, not graphics. Unless it's Crysis.
