I found LBP when I saw it in a video game magazine, I looked at it, and I was not interested, it looked unexciting. But then the LBP was rented from the video store, I played it, saw the create mode,(I particularly like video games with the ability to create levels and maps, I have played a few before.) and I bought it. I primarily found it through media. How did you?

Media. It was on the cover of PTOM, and the cover was a golden color. So it caught my interest rather quickly .

Well my mum bought me a PS3 and the game kinda came with it. But I'd love the play with everythiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing adverts for it too!

Media, because aside from friends and family that is the only other option you have given us. Advertisement, websites, magazines and TV shows are all media.

Well I first found out about the game when I watched this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Taiurn541SE) a few years back. After the first few seconds of watching that video, I new I was going to get that game. I didn't even know about the create part then.

I saw an article in game Informer back when it was first announced, didn't really interest me. When I first tried to get a PS3 last June, my friend showed me a few videos of LBP. He never got it though, I gave him the beta and he got SOCOM instead... >_< Anyway, I went to the Gamefaqs LBP board and stuff. Then, on August 23rd (my registration date here so it's not like I remember it out of nowhere <_>) some guy posted a link to a LBP forum. This LBP forum is still around... somehow. He's still trying to get people to come despite literally no one coming... but I digress. so I noticed no one was coming and I was like, hey, why don't I join a better LBP forum JUST because I joined a bad one? So I signed up here, and look what happened. And when I got to LBPC, THEN I started getting really excited for LBP- I remember I didn't even know about planes back then, but I digress So I HEARD about it years ago in GI, but I LEARNED about it here... XD

Back then, I was no more really into video games, but someone offered me a Wii for my birthday and it helped me get interested again and to surf the web for some news and infos... The first time I heard about LBP, it was on a french video games site when I watched a trailer (the one with the ship...). I thought that it looked very cute and fun visually and I loved the music (Get it together) but I didn't really known what it was all about really and as I didn't had a PS3, I forgot about it... As the time passed, there was more videos in the site, and I saw one or two on the create mode, and here I was blown away :" Incredible! how is it possible to do all this..?" And as I was getting fed up with the Wii, after finishing Mario Galaxy, it's at this time that I decided to buy a PS3 soon. 5 months later, in April, i bought my PS3 and LBP, and that is how I became addicted!

I was looking through the games at the store and I saw LBP. I totally feel in love with the cover and I really wanted to buy it then but I went home and watched some videos about it and then I went to buy it after I got my paycheck!!!!!

i saw it on psn store. Watched the videos and i was like OMG! I found out there was a beta so i snooped around for somewhere to get a beta key. I stumbled here! originally i would get the key and get outta here. Forsaken gave me a key since he was very generous. I left the forum and after a week. i was like "Hmmm that forum was pretty sweet and i came back!"

A friend showed it to me, and I thought it looked a bit 'naff. Then I saw it again on ign or something and that made me youtube it. Then after seeing that 4 player run through of that gardens demo, I was completely hooked. I was in a state of constant tension waiting for the game to come out for the 3 months before release. It was horrible.
