Story mode level select glitch
Archive: 12 posts
I found a peculiar glitch on the story mode level select menu. I just got to the first collector level (frozen tundra) and then I joined someone who was playing the collectors lair. when we finished the level, the last level (the collector) appeared, but the bunker and collectors lair aren't there. also, the last level has been completed the same way by someone i was playing with going to that level. Weird huh? | 2009-11-06 18:35:00 Author: Matimoo ![]() Posts: 1027 |
Indeed that is weird, but it sorta makes sense. Anyone can join anyone else, regardless of what level they are playing, and any keys collected in that level will register as usual. It is kind of funny how it worked out that way, though. | 2009-11-06 18:40:00 Author: comphermc ![]() Posts: 5338 |

Yep, I also had this happen to me when I had to replay through story mode and wanted specific costume items right away. The reason this doesnt really got noticed: When we play through story mode for the first time, most of us do it alon | 2009-11-06 19:18:00 Author: Zwollie ![]() Posts: 2173 |
Yeah I made my friend play in the wilderness while he was still at the canyons. I accidentally ruined it for him! | 2009-11-06 19:18:00 Author: KQuinn94Z ![]() Posts: 1758 |

Yeah it's not a glitch, the game is made like that. If you complete a level in multiplayer it counts and also everything anybody is collecting will unlocked for everyone. . | 2009-11-06 23:22:00 Author: RangerZero ![]() Posts: 3901 |

Yea, I remember I was at the Canyons, and I joined a friend online, and we played The Terrible Oni's Volcano. I don't think it's a glitch, though, I think they meant to do that. | 2009-11-07 03:33:00 Author: Frinklebumper ![]() Posts: 941 |

Trust me, the game totally is designed like this. They wanted people to coorperate and make the experience as seemless as possible. That's why DLC is seemless and that you can play with your friends in their own story modes. If they would have created parameters to detect wich people can enter where and why + giving the messages on screen to the appropriate players + explaining others why X dude did quit, etc. Seriously, they didn't want to make and test all this crap. . | 2009-11-07 05:00:00 Author: RangerZero ![]() Posts: 3901 |
The bit where Stephen Fry said 'you must have visited littlebigplanet in your dreams before' made extra sense at this point. I think the metropolis was available before I'd completed the gardens ![]() | 2009-12-27 17:57:00 Author: chimpskylark ![]() Posts: 335 |
