http://forums.littlebigworkshop.com/...103643#M103643 (http://forums.littlebigworkshop.com/lbp/board/message?board.id=pod&message.id=103643#M103643) "The 1.20 update to the game is indeed more content, rather anything too massive, however I can reveal that 1.21 is the fabled and oft heard of Leerdammer update. I can't say when it's coming just yet, but the fact that it's next in the queue should give you some indication." Now in case of the uninformed amongst you all (really?), Leerdammer is the update that will include, amongst other things ON-LINE CREATE & 250x PROFILE SPACE INCREASE. Nice to have some confirmation that the next update in line is Leerdammer. | 2009-11-05 13:12:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |
Oh, is the profile increase in Leerdammer as well? | 2009-11-05 14:34:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Oh the famous leerdammer I don't think it will be 250X more profile space i think it will be as much as your console can handle. | 2009-11-05 14:40:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
I was talking with Alex about this at the expo and he explained it to me. The only reason why the profile limit was set like that in the first place is because Sony have a clause that any game that is produced has to be able to shut down in under 10 seconds. This means they had 7 seconds to save information. Our profile limit right now is that set figure of whatever the ps3 can save in 7 seconds. Now the new way they do it relies on the user specifically saving it to a different location. Its a really clever way to get around it I think and will totally add to the game. | 2009-11-05 15:05:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
Yes but he also mentioned the drawbacks but I won't say em because I'm not 100% sure about all of them. All I'll say is Leerdammer is niiiiiiice | 2009-11-05 15:29:00 Author: Shermzor Posts: 1330 |

Finally So I'm assuming this will include everything in the beta except water? Because that is rather awesome. | 2009-11-05 16:33:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |

Finally, I haven't tried making a level in the normal game for ages because it always corrupts or something. Now I can/sniped | 2009-11-05 16:51:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |

So this probably means you can, as rumored, save your levels on the HDD as a seperate file. (export). Otherwise I don't see how this whole thing can fly. In fact it's not profile space that will get bigger (because the game would not quit in 7 seconds anymore), you will have more space in the mean you can export more things. Anyhow, I'm looking forward for this idea to give us Online Create and Water. . | 2009-11-05 18:20:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

No, that's a completely unrelated matter. Foo. | 2009-11-05 20:50:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
So it's just costumes and stickers etc? That's annoying. | 2009-11-05 20:53:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
It increases the profile space for the stuff on your moon, collected objects, photos etc. It's a hell of a lot better than now, where you can barely fit two maxed out levels on your moon. | 2009-11-05 20:57:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

We don't know for sure. And Alex explained to Wex why the profile is that small. It will not increase, you will simply export things it seems. I think it will not be what many people think it is. I can't wait for the disappointmenton. . | 2009-11-05 22:20:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Who knows? I'm just going on the "increased profile space", which makes me think (now I know it's crazy but bear with me) profile space will be increased | 2009-11-05 22:39:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

I'm just happy olc will be out! IT'S SO FUN! IT WORKS SO WELL! | 2009-11-05 22:45:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
Oh, no. Leerdramer is good, for some. Sure, I want it, but, named patches often mean bug fixes. Anybody know of a very highly used glitch? | 2009-11-06 00:17:00 Author: Drakora Posts: 392 |
Lol, I'm sure RustBukkit will be happy to hear this - he's had a small profile space bug for a very long time now. Sometimes I didn't know he could make it this far But I'm mostly excited about online create. I'm sure others are too. It seems common sense to put it in from the beginning of the game but no, they make us wait a whole year :/ | 2009-11-06 00:25:00 Author: goldenclaw13 Posts: 224 |

Oh, no. Leerdramer is good, for some. Sure, I want it, but, named patches often mean bug fixes. Anybody know of a very highly used glitch? Trust me, it'll be fine. And yes, there's a lot to gain with the way Mm implemented the "expanded profile space." | 2009-11-06 02:47:00 Author: gevurah22 Posts: 1476 |
Well, online create is coming to us. Time to assemble my team. | 2009-11-06 03:09:00 Author: SLS10 Posts: 1129 |

Now everybody do the more profile space dance!! http://www.twobitnews.com/files/dwarf.gif This will solve so many problems and remove a lot of frustrations!! I pick profile space over online create or water any day. | 2009-11-06 09:06:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |

11th 12th .. rumored | 2009-11-06 11:29:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
1.20 has just come out. If 1.21 is out next week then it wouldn't they just combine the two into one patch? Would make sense, no? | 2009-11-06 11:40:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
no its a prepatch with the files hidden to test if its stable. You would find that if it were on pc via datamining | 2009-11-06 11:41:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
If you say so. But sam_protagonist says that 1.20 is "just more content". That sounds like a data patch, rather than a hidden secret code patch. I'm not even sure how you can test the stability of new features if the code is never invoked on the client TBH. Also, bearing in mind the date of the 12th was made up weeks ago by some kid who knew nothing about anything, I'd be sceptical about it coming out next week, based on that rumour. | 2009-11-06 11:46:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Well all you have to do is patch it on the the live servers but run the stress tests on their client side machine only. Easily coded. | 2009-11-06 12:03:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
In that case you wouldn't need an update on all the customer's clients You don't just roll out updates to all your customers and then test it's stable, that would be an amazingly stupid thing to do... not to mention that it would be unneccessary - just apply the patch to whatever system you are testing on. Regardless, it might be coming out next week, but there is zero evidence to support it, so it's not wise for people to get their hopes up. | 2009-11-06 12:11:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
If we're going to guess, I'd say early december, simply because there was about a month between the last two patches. (Now let's hope that gives us a month free of threads about when the XXX-patch is coming... ) | 2009-11-06 12:16:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
All I know is that I want Online Create and Water before Christmas. And that would be really for this to not happen (aka, not receiving anything for Christmas but costumes). . | 2009-11-06 12:58:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Well I'm leaning towards the idea that we will get OC before christmas, and Water maybe early next year. I have no real justification for that, but it makes sense in my head. | 2009-11-06 13:02:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
OC before Dec and Water at christmas! CRISIS! | 2009-11-06 13:03:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
Well I'm leaning towards the idea that we will get OC before christmas, and Water maybe early next year. I have no real justification for that, but it makes sense in my head. Well, I hear that water is working great so I suppose they will stop testing it soon. The update is probably already sent for approval too. (if it really is working great --- of course i'm based on anecdotal evidence). But yeah, part of myself is saying "don't keep your hopes up. Remember MM are extremely slow" so we might have water next spring. The Web Portal next summer, and so on. . | 2009-11-06 13:13:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
No all the rumors will be done before chrimbo! | 2009-11-06 13:14:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
Well, I hear that water is working great I've been avoiding saying this to you (just in case), but seeing as CC posted it for all to see a few hours ago: I seriously doubt even Mm has decided exactly when they want to release it. They have plenty of bugs to address that were uncovered by the official Water Beta, so they're going to want to take their time and get it right, rather than rush an unfinished product out the door. No all the rumors will be done before chrimbo! Oh I'm pretty sure the rumours will continue, regardless of what happens | 2009-11-06 13:23:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
New rumours will come, sure. But today's will be up by that magical 25th | 2009-11-06 13:24:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
yay online create and more profile space | 2009-11-07 05:41:00 Author: rseah Posts: 2701 |
well sam is always right but look at how long cornish yarg took till after they said it was coming out. it was about a month so dont get your hopes up.....Yet | 2009-11-07 10:14:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
Profile space is most important for me. I can't even collect another sticker before i get the profile won't save message. I also can't copy any levels back to my moon to edit them. I tried but just keep getting that stupid message every few seconds. OC and Water they can hold back as long as they like because OC is no use at all to me. I won't be using it because the LAG is just too horrendous. I've tried and it just won't work. Water is ok and will be fun but for me it's very disappointing overall. Not allowed to go into detail but you just can't do stuff with it that I hoped you'd be able to. So yeah all in all Profile space is the only one I really want and desperately need. Second only to NO LAG. | 2009-11-07 11:14:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |
MV i played OC at Eurogamer - Yes it was OC not Lan, and there was NO lag. Also, mm confirmed they have done alot about lag when i spoke to them. | 2009-11-07 11:52:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
Dont know if i can say this but i will stay vague. lag isn't that bad in heeeeey macccaBeta IIIII | 2009-11-07 11:57:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
Well, I hear that water is working great so I suppose they will stop testing it soon. Whoever told you that is horribly mistaken. | 2009-11-07 12:05:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
I'm thinking that it will come out in the next month... I'm also hoping that it comes with... corrupt data fixes! :fingers crossed: :hero: | 2009-11-07 12:23:00 Author: RobbieT_4 Posts: 77 |
Btw water does work great, played it at Eurogamer with spaff and tom | 2009-11-07 12:41:00 Author: CreateNPlay Posts: 1266 |
wait will this include import as well? i hope it does, because Alex said that it would be out before christmas so is this contained in it or not? | 2009-11-07 13:20:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
OC and Water they can hold back as long as they like because OC is no use at all to me. I won't be using it because the LAG is just too horrendous. I've tried and it just won't work. I vaguely recall that when they first mentioned Leerdammer, a tcp patch was supposed to be in it, too. | 2009-11-07 14:05:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
MV i played OC at Eurogamer - Yes it was OC not Lan, and there was NO lag. Erm, no it wasn't. It was the OC/Water beta client but we were all standing next to each other playing on the same console. So unless the ps3 was beaming out our actions to a sever and pinging em back I don't see how you can judge how laggy OC is. | 2009-11-07 14:37:00 Author: Shermzor Posts: 1330 |
I've never had any kind of lag in the beta...apart from some ridiculous lag once in play mode. Needless to say, I was playing with Mr V | 2009-11-07 14:41:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
it may just be MRV's connection lol | 2009-11-07 14:45:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
it may just be MRV's connection lol Most probably is. Remember that LBP is P2P --- aka when you lag, it's because of one of your connections, not MM or PSN! . | 2009-11-07 16:40:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Well i'm stuffed then because I have the best connection possible. I've rung round every ISP and they all told me the same thing i.e. they can't offer me any better than I've got already. | 2009-11-07 16:47:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

Don't worry, MrV, you're certainly not on your own. I experience lag a lot of the time, but very late at night I can play for hours with no lag at all. I only partially understand the technicalities of p2p services and the throttling back of bandwidth by most ISPs, but I too have heard that there is something being done about it. I can't be more specific - not that I'm being secretive, just that I simply don't know the details. I hope it does get better more often. I miss playing with you and others. | 2009-11-07 16:55:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
Well i'm stuffed then because I have the best connection possible. I've rung round every ISP and they all told me the same thing i.e. they can't offer me any better than I've got already. LBP is still one of the most heavy netcode to ever grace gaming so don't worry, you're not alone. Only some of the best connections in the WORLD might be ok for this game. And yes I know it's ridiculous to say. But as I said many times before, making a P2P game here was a terrible overlook and mistake from Media Molecule. I understand it's infinitely less costly than having multiple servers but Sony should have invested in that at least. This game needed to be served based more than any other game in the market. . | 2009-11-08 17:02:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
All I want is a working in-game promotion place of the best unknown levels, like they used to have before the News section became defunct. Really a wasted opportunity. | 2009-11-08 17:06:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Only some of the best connections in the WORLD might be ok for this game. I have a horrendous connection and I've never had any problems with LBP :/ | 2009-11-08 18:23:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
I have a horrendous connection and I've never had any problems with LBP :/ Ummm no. I have a TERRIBLE connection and yes I experience problems! Whenever I check my connection status as a percent it is 30-60%.... :/ | 2009-11-08 18:25:00 Author: iGotFancyPants Posts: 1355 |

There's up to four different PS3's connected to a single game. It shouldn't be that hard to have one PS3 play host for the three others. | 2009-11-08 19:34:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |

Sure, but that doesn't explain why "This game needed to be served based more than any other game in the market." I'm sure there are other games with more than 4 players out there. | 2009-11-08 19:52:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
yeah but they arent P2p are they? games like resistance and COD have very little lag because they are server based, | 2009-11-08 19:55:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
Sony probably thought that the maximum number of players that you can have is 4 so there is no point in having server-based online play. I hate Sony -.- | 2009-11-08 20:04:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
They should totally have something called Frenzy Week where they patch in 20 player multiplayer. Take it down after a week or something. Just to let us have a blast. | 2009-11-08 21:22:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |

Soon some of us will wonder how we ever lived without it Yes, I'm fairly sure that Sam said (Months ago...) that Leerdammer would include Online Create. (On LBW) There was also that "Leaked" image of the Mm patch notes. (What happened with that anyway? Was it proven false?) This is real good news. Especially for me, since I can get some famous creators in my videos to help me boost up my views. Can't wait to do Online Create with my non-beta friends! Yeah Sam stated that if O.C. never got included in the Cornish Yarg patch then it would be looking to put it in the Leerdammer one. That 'White board' image was put into Mm's private collection, but can still be found easily through a Goolge search. (On that though the O.C. was listed as part of the CY patch, but then in that case just read my first sentence.) Like I say the info I put in my patch details thread is all out there to be found... | 2009-11-11 13:32:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |

Wow this is super ***. Lol you guys gotta stop trying to put release dates on media molecules content. We are all fans but you all seriously need to chill with the assumptions because this is getting rediculous. Leave the release date of media molecules content to media molecule because it IS THEIR content why are you setting dates for them? | 2009-11-15 16:01:00 Author: *EliteNinja* Posts: 29 |

can i ask why are all MMs patches named after cheeses? Leerdammer, etc http://www.littlebigplanet.com/en-gb/game_guide/ps3/updates "We name our updates after types of cheese. The reason behind this has been lost in time, or perhaps just behind the coffee machine, but legend says it all started as as a bit of a joke, and went too far. We celebrate each cheese release with a good cheese based NOM session at work. You should do the same!" | 2009-11-18 18:37:00 Author: mnimmo1986 Posts: 552 |
