Photography Contest - Any Resolution - XP - Week 2: Action Shots!

All rise, the Caption ContestSUPER-FANTASTIC PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST is now in session in AWESOME

Now that the formalities awesome is over with, here are the rules:

1. No image editing. Cropping/rotating an image etc. is allowed, but do not change the levels or enhance the image in any way unless specifically stated in the week's individual rules

2. Any reasonable resolution is acceptable. Enter any resolution you like, even, but of course 128*96 pics are going to struggle if we can't see any details. If it looks good, it's got a shot.

3. No flaming. Do not insult other users or their photos. Instead, offer constructive criticism as well as positive feedback.

4. All images must be taken within the two week period. No previously taken images are allowed.

5. You can enter as many photos per round as you desire. Do try to refrain from posting 100-frame photo shoots, we won't stop you, but they're hell to judge.

So, without further ado, this week's round is...

The Action Shot

This week is all about movement and action, be it from a human, animal, or any other object, this week needs some good moving shots.

To enter, post spoilers of your images here if they are >640*480 in resolution, so that the page doesn't take forever to load.

All entries must be in by Tuesday 1st December. Judgement shall be passed within one or two days. This week's judge is: dawesbr

Prizes for this week shall be:

1st place 500xp
2nd place 250xp
3rd place 100xp
Possible small prizes to other entries.

This was the best of the three you entered, in my opinion, though the slight blemishes on the table from other food does spoil its simplicity. That being said, it has a quirky simplicity at its base that I like.

Water's always a good subject for photography, and I think you've used its inherent flow and form well here. I am not always fond of water for the sake of water, and here it seems as though you've poured a kettle over your lamp, perhaps if it had been a bit more relevant to something to DO with water it would've made a better impression. That being said, I loved the clarity of the water and thought it was a good photo.

I thought that this was a great shot, the common colour scheme throughout really made it stand out. The food in the photo didn't really seem to be the focus (instead it was the flowers), but I think it worked well nonetheless (with a nice arty wrinkle in the tablecloth thrown in). Dude thats FAR less than 640x480...
