DLC-Free Paint Switch: How to Make One

Hello. Have you ever wanted to use the Paint Switch, but don't have the MGS Pack? Then, you've come to the right place! I will teach you the secret art of making a Paint Switch! All it requires you to do is follow a few easy steps.

Step 1: Obtain an HP Bar and a Paintball.

Step 2: Place a paintball, and attach a Magnetic Key to it. Make the Magnetic Key invisible.

Step 3: Save the paintball.

Step 4: Make something to shoot the Paintball. Make sure it's grabable! Attach a grab switch, and set it to One Shot.

Step 5: Add an Emitter, that emits the paintball. Connect the grab switch to the emitter.

Step 6: Place an HP Bar. Increase the radius of the Pink Mag Key Switch so it's just above the wooden block. Copy the Hp Bar (not the flipper button), and delete the original bar.

Step 7: Add a monster. Attach a Protected Brain to the monster, as well as a Magnetic Key Switch the same color as the Key on the Paintball you saved in Step 3.

Step 8: Set both Magnetic Key Switches to One Shot.

Step 9: Connect the Magnetic Key Switch from the HP Bar to the Protected Brain.

Step 10: Connect the Magnetic Key Switch on the monster to the emitter on the HP Bar.

There! You're done! Wasn't that easy?

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's an HP Bar, and where can I get one?
A: An HP Bar is a very simple Logic gate, and you can get one from OrangeTraz's level, Workshop: Hitpoints.

Q: Don't I need the MGS Pack to use anything from the MGS Pack?
A: Yes, you do. However, the paintball wasn't intended to be an object, so it is exempt from that rule.

Well, that's it! I must thanks OrangeTraz for making his Workshop: Hitpoints level, since I'd never of discovered this if it wasn't for that level. I'd also like to thank everyone that took the time to read this guide.

Thanks,

Thanks for the info. I've been trying to figure out how to simulate rain/waves crashing over the bow of a ship using the paintball. This really helped.2009-11-10 14:49:00
